  5. I wanna like this mod but is there a way to remove the shards from enemies that explode causing damage? I don't think it's a very fun source of difficulty as it's easy to just randomly run into it or not even see a floating ice shard and get bopped by it. Also, is there a description of what the difficulty levels do anywhere? I checked this post and the readme but I can't seem to see it.
  6. Hey anyone know if there's a way to make it so that the controller strafe held button has a different sensitivity than when you don't hold strafe? I set the turn sensitivity pretty low but it means that when you hold strafe it doesn't strafe as fast as you run forward. I'm trying to mimick the controller behavior of the actual playstation port, which had slower turn speeds but the same strafe speed as long as you held the strafe button Edit: Best thing I can do is bind the turn buttons instead of axis to left/right, seems to work okay.
  7. Okay, I'm not the biggest deathmatch guy, but those blood waterfall stairs in the last picture look hideous.
  8. You would have to have hi-res graphics to begin with. I'm not sure what CeeJay did to make his textures hi-res but it was probably an involved process. If you're so interested in it, though, why don't you try making some?

  10. Yeah that's probably what I'll do. I just felt it was really offputting considering the way everything else is in the wad.
  11. For the most part I think this is dandy, but I'm not a fan of the E4 music replacements. Sure they're from the beta music, but they just don't fit the episode very well. I feel like that should have been an extra and not part of the default package.
  12. I for real looked down at my feet and saw in front of me the CD folder where I have my Ultimate Doom and Doom II discs. And now that I think about it I DO legitimately own them on 3 platforms. Fuck, I don't know how I feel about being pegged correctly.
  13. While not quite ambient, Aliens TC used DeHackEd to make actors that would play voice clips from Aliens on activation. It made for an interesting effect.
  14. I notice that ZDoom has support of 7zips in the same way it has support for regular zips. Shouldn't there be greater usage of 7zips, especially considering not many programs can edit .pk3 anyway? (mostly it's slumped and slade, as doombuilder requires you to have your directory uncompressed) I certainly intend to use 7zip instead of a .pk3 from now on. I mean, it may not be much more as far as compression goes but I just like supporting the superior format.
  15. For the opening of my wad it'll be a really foggy forest and then opens up to the rest of the level. I need some thick greenery for that purpose. Any suggestions?
