I'm using a personal weapons mod which replaces the doomguy with a female marine. I got some resources from various projects and turned them into my own mod with my own decorate and some custom sprites, though the gameplay is exactly the same. Sometimes I need a break from the original assets. -

I don't mind it at all, from both a mapper and a player perspective.

I did that to the Chainsaw in Decorate, so I don't have to leave any weapon behind. I'm one of those folks who can't leave weapons behind.

Sometimes when I'm in need of inspiration, I just google museum architecture and look for some interesting pictures. I use music for the mapping process itself.

I like the Mancubi, both from artistic and gameplay point of view. It looks really cool and make scary and alarming sounds, especially if it catch you off-guard. And it actually fun to fight because of its high pain chance and easy to place in maps. It got enough HP to cause troubles and can inflict a good damage to the player, even kill an unarmoured one if he cant dodge properly. All in all, one of the better monsters in Doom.

I still think it should have a biting attack to prevent players from cheesing the fight. Would be more interesting.
