I'm trying to use line portals to create the illusion of a deep stairwell with multiple levels atop one another. For the most part it seems to be working; however, occasionally when I cross the portal line, there will be a very brief flash of what looks like the player sprite, almost as though I'm seeing "myself" rendered on the far side of the portal an instant before I step through. Needless to say, this disrupts the illusion.
It's hard to replicate on demand but does seem to occur more commonly when moving faster (as with SR40).
I'm attaching the WAD with the portal sequence in question. Can anyone tell me if this is something I can rectify by tweaking my approach, or is it just an inherent glitch?
