    E1M6 Void Glide Non TAS

This is the exact same trick as in E2M6 that was found 10 years~ ago. The trick itself has nothing to do with E2M6, but rather it is all about the map geometry. All such cases "were found" the day E2M6 void glide was popularized, meaning it is the same trick.

Nice nomonsters demos, Sector 147. You should use shorttics though.

    DOOM II demos [-complevel 2]

That's pretty good. I would say the only real mistake in the run was the way you handled your path with the first teleporter. The rest would be just finetuning your movement to be more precise. And of course the walljump is not that fun to do under nomonsters the fast way, so I am just ignoring how you handled it. I recommend not using the walljump at all, but of course you can do it if your aim is to do the map as fast as possible. It's of course a good map for the movement practice, a bit harsh though.

    PrBoom-Plus, ver. 2.5.1.4

I just open some random 4-player co-op demo with a hex editor and try to figure what each value mean. The first line of the demo file has all of the settings or so. I think I compare it to some ultra-violence demo, so I know what is the difficult setting, map number (pick a demo that starts from map 22 for example, so you can identify the number) etc. I think I used Doom 2 Map09 4-player nomonsters demo to figure out what each number means.

    Crispy Doom 6.0 (Update: Mar 31, 2023)

Crispy Doom 5.5.2 has a tiny error with the sound: Doom 2 Map04, when you go stand on the crate that lowers one of the crates for the red key, there's a light switch near it. If you spam it very fast, it doesn't play all of the sounds, even though it should. Older version (I think 5.0) did play it for every activation. You can spam it very fast in the original Doom.

    Doom 2 Map04 UV-speed in 0:27 I noticed that I didn't have that many UV-speed records in Doom 2, so let's take the easy ones. lv04-027.zip

Good stuff. I guess your UV-max full run helped quite a bit with this one. I was happy to see the lift block in map05 for the plasma rifle secret.

    doom2 30nm tricks

Btw, if you are using using DOSbox, you have quite heavy disadvantage performing the tricks consistent. It is because DOSbox is laggy, and not precise enough how it handles the input.

The DWIronman League dies to: Base Ganymede

Okuplok was an obvious cheater. Bloodite Krypto probably thinks "Oku never got busted", hence he is using identical vanish tactic as a valid option to save his face. Too bad for him, both got busted. As far as I know, BK, okuplok and kimoxvirus are/were all friends together, and every one of them cheated. Respect for Kimo for coming out clean. To me, he really seems to be a guy who did stupid mistake because of his young age, as he said. At the same time, I can see how he put a lot of effort into his demos and did his research. I don't think he would have apologized had he not put great effort into his demos. So if kimo_xvirus is ever going to post more demos, I'm going to think he's legit.

    Weird demos

The same thing happens even with smaller monsters, but with spider mastermind it is the most noticeable. I don't know the reason though, but I feel like there's always one side of the big spider being bugged like that, so the player is able to run inside it.... I think it was explained in Doom 1 E3M8 pacifist text-file.

The DWIronman League dies to: Base Ganymede

I checked BK's stardate20x6 on UV and I personally think that his gameplay is not consistent at all in the fight where he said he didn't take any hits. The accomplishment of not taking any damage in that fight is nothing too impressive, but the way it is/was done is quite strange, especially when considering him saying "he can keep his head cool". The mouse movement is erratic, he takes sudden turns and he locks his aim to incoming projectiles in a suspicious way in order to dodge them. Also, at one point it the fight it looks like there is a hole in the demo, suggesting save/load, and the hole is coupled with the fact that he somehow forgets that he just started to switch his weapon, which makes it really suspicious. I've seen BK play survival online and I know he's a good player, but I never saw him doing anything unexplainable like this. Also, it really looks like the beginning of the runs are done with multiple attempts in order to rush them in a swift manner, and some parts are definitely done with a preknowledge.

    World Orifice

They are not entertaining at all if it is not the actual skill. You are fooling audience into thinking that you have some amazing skills. I've seen some old casual NES deathless playthroughs, and I was like "wow, amazing. dude has some serious skills. I wanna watch how he tackles everything with SKILL". Then after watching the few extremely difficult bosses/situations of the game, it made me wonder: what the fuck is this noob doing? Found out it was save/load scummed casual playthrough and I have never watched any of those casual runs after that because I just assume they do not represent anything. They are just piece of shit TAS runs. Just my opinion though.

How do you start recording demos?

If you are using Prboom+, you have to make a shortcut out of the .exe -file. Then right click on the shortcut -> properties so you see something like: Target: D:\prboom+2.5.1.4\prboom.exe now change it into this: D:\prboom+2.5.1.4\prboom.exe -iwad doom.wad -warp 1 1 -skill 4 -record filename.lmp This will use DOOM 1 as the main game, warp into episode one, map one, ultra-violence difficulty (skill 4) and will record a file named "filename.lmp"

Wrong mouse sensitivity prevents you from producing favourable Move Forward commands. Without any replay that's just a guess though.

    xDRE brute-force help

Pretty much that, except now you can have SL50 to SL0 too. strafe cmds: 50:0 means it starts the bruteforce from SR50 then SR49.... SR0 is the final one. run cmds: 50:0 means MF50, MF49... MF1, MF0. turn cmds: 10:0 means it starts the bruteforce from turn LEFT 10, turn left 9, .... turn left 1, no turn. Negative values do the opposite, so turn right would be: turn cmds: 0:-10 for example. Backwards would be: run cmds: -50. The bruteforce is mostly used for performing glides, ".000" tricks and in some rare cases, some difficult turns and wallruns.
  24. You say so, but I'm careful about it... it has to be genuine!
