What is the most convenient way to load wads.....

ZDL. With it, I don't have to drag and drop the files to the ZDoom .exe file every time. Specially useful, as someone noted above, for those who load many files to the game at once, like me. Just select which game to play, what source port would be preferred, and what files to load with it. Simple.

    Your least favourite enemy?

Revenants, Lost Souls, and Pain Elementals.

Doom 1 Episode 1 - your favorite level?

    Map 1-3, 5, and 7.

    boring wads?

I actually enjoyed the first five except for Back to Saturn X Episode 2.

    E1M1 AC/DCized

I know they still come out these days, but to add to your point, some of the poopers I watched back then either got banned or quit and never made a return. Same goes with certain videos.

    E1M1 AC/DCized

Very accurate to AC/DC's style. I saw them at the Dodgers Stadium months ago. Pretty good show. Not too wrong since I used to watch YTPs In 2013, they were funny as shit. Specially the King of the Hill ones. I think everyone used to watch them. I did back in 2008-2011.

Use of episode 4 sky texture in pwads

It always looked better to me than the ugly beige sky texture of the first 11 maps of Doom II.

    Wad Wishlist

A ZDoom megawad, could be in the vein of ZPack.

    Dying

In some days, I die at every corner; in others, it takes a while for me to die. There are certain times that I end up rage quitting due to having progressed considerably in a level only to die, sometimes in the last few rooms before exiting, and I don't save midway through. Despite my lack of constant saving and using some help like turning off the music in most cases, I am still not that great of a player.

    Alternative blood flats

It really looks good to me, no need for replacement. Reminds me of Valiant.

That blue key, Doom 2 map The Citadel

I would also often skip that map, either by IDCLEV'ing to map 20 or by IDCLIP'ing to the exit. For a considerable amount of time, I didn't bother to play it at all without cheating.

    Doom 64: Lowered Targeting Threshold?

I don't know if it matters that much to begin with. From what I recall, Doom 64 does not have as much monster infighting as the classic games.

    Preferred screen size?

I play with the largest screen size that keeps the status bar on.

    Nothing New On idgames Lately

I already felt worried once someone posted sometime ago that he was in the hospital and was not in a good condition. That's very sad. A man who was a key part of the community now gone. I wouldn't have discovered many good mods for Doom if he wasn't around to get them all together in one site, and how nice he kept on going until the end. Sad that it seems a few people important to me have now departed from life this year. My condolences to his family.

    Why do I think there's a secret on E1M1?

Is that Doom II's map 2 you're talking about? The early Doom II versions does have those silver bars to the left you're probably referring to. I'm not sure why they were removed in later Doom II versions.

Do you use the same nickname ingame?

I use Torturephile most of the time for accounts since last year. I wish I used that for this site. I also used Hectic for several websites, specially Doom related.

    Smoothing out the sprited

Somehow, I just like it. Larger monsters like Cacodemons and Cyberdemons don't look too bad with that, I believe. It also depends on the art style. Sprites with a smoother art style do look quite better than those without it.

Sprawling Maps vs. Compact Clever Maps

I generally like medium-sized maps the most. Small ones are good enough for me as well. Large ones only work fine for me if I'm on a map set in which the map sizes get progressively get bigger.

How to run Doom95 in modern Windows

I would rather run the game under DOSBox.

    Favorite Megawad LEVEL?

Scythe's map 26, Fear. The Symphony X music makes it even more enjoyable for me.

What's the legal status of Doom II ?

I guess it should just be replaced by the shareware version of the first game. I would notify John Romero or someone else behind the game about it and see what they say.

    Preferred screen size?

Windowed 1280x960, with the screen size at 10 (highest screen size without turning the status bar off).

The amazing "identify that Doom song" thread.

Thank you both. Now with the mention of the Mars War source files, there's also one supplied by the author of Dark Tartarus. http://www.wad-archive.com/wad/37d0f2cc7faa97d55f39a4e076290337

    People actually liked Plutonia?

I always felt that some maps inspired by Plutonia did the challenging part better than it did.

The amazing "identify that Doom song" thread.

Not sure if anyone has played these megawads from this site or has posted about them in here: http://toastytech.com/doom/index.html I'm really interested in knowing the names of the real songs the midis are probably based on. The intermission of Mars War is Black Sabbath's "Iron Man", map 6 and map 21's midis are from a game called Carmageddon, and map 32's midi is based on clouds.mid from Windows 95. There's also another megawad called "Megawad" in that site. I know E1M2's song is "Frankenstein" by The Edgar Winter Group.
