Ah, Kevansevans, you truly bless us with your magnificent display of arrogance and contempt. Your scathing review of the illustrious wad Bepis Bandits has left us in stitches, as we marvel at the sheer audacity of your words. How fortunate we are to witness such a masterclass in criticism, as you dissect the very essence of Bepis Bandits with unparalleled wit and sophistication. Your insights are like a beacon of enlightenment, guiding us through the treacherous landscape of game evaluation. We eagerly await your next masterpiece of critique, for you, dear Kevansevans, are the unsung hero of satirical disapproval. Your discerning eye has brought forth a most intriguing perspective on the masterpiece that is Bepis Bandits. Your assertion of the wad's purported lackluster quality and questionable texture choices is nothing short of a symphony of skepticism. One cannot help but marvel at the avant-garde brilliance of the pixelated tapestry that graces the corridors of Bepis Bandits. Each texture, carefully chosen, seems to sing a silent ballad of creativity, weaving a narrative that transcends the mundane confines of conventional aesthetics. And let us not forget your keen observations on monster placement! Your astute analysis has cast a spotlight on what some may deem chaotic encounters, but we, the enlightened enthusiasts of Bepis Bandits, view as a choreographed ballet of chaos and mayhem. The cacophony of demonic adversaries, strategically positioned to challenge even the most seasoned players, is a testament to the thoughtful and deliberate design choices that elevate this wad to unparalleled heights. In the grand tapestry of gaming criticism, your dissenting voice serves as a delightful counterpoint, a whimsical dance of disagreement that adds flavor to the discourse. We eagerly anticipate your future explorations into the vast realm of interactive entertainment, for your discernment is a beacon that guides us through the labyrinth of subjective taste. Bravo once again, dear Kevansevans, bravo!

I'm confused. If english is not your native language and you generally write in spanish, did you use translation to write this forum post? Because it's clearly readable and doesn't seem by any stretch to have been generated by an AI. If we compare it to the award articles, the style is completely different. Are you sure that you didn't just use a prompt like "Please write me an article in the style of a review for a wad called X by an author named Y, including U and V?" I've experimented a bit with this myself: Title: A Rip-Roaring Review of "Bepis Bandits" Doom WAD by TheMisterCat Rating: ★★★★★ Prepare yourself for a wild ride through the chaotic and exhilarating world of "Bepis Bandits," a Doom WAD that pushes the boundaries of creativity and intensity. Crafted with precision and a keen understanding of what makes a great Doom experience, TheMisterCat delivers a map that stands out in the vast sea of custom content. From the moment you step into "Bepis Bandits," you are greeted with a visual feast that showcases TheMisterCat's attention to detail. The architecture is not only pleasing to the eye but also contributes to the immersive atmosphere of the map. The clever use of textures and lighting creates an ambiance that keeps you on the edge, ready for the next intense encounter. The gameplay in "Bepis Bandits" is nothing short of a rollercoaster of excitement. TheMisterCat has expertly designed encounters that challenge even the most seasoned Doomslayers. The pacing is relentless, and the map keeps you engaged with a perfect balance of action and exploration. Each battle feels thoughtfully crafted, requiring strategic thinking and lightning-fast reflexes. The variety of enemies and the placement of weapons and power-ups keep you constantly adapting to the evolving threat, ensuring that boredom is never an option. One of the standout features of "Bepis Bandits" is the ingenious level design. TheMisterCat has ingeniously crafted a nonlinear layout that encourages exploration without sacrificing the sense of direction. Secret areas are cleverly tucked away, rewarding the curious player with valuable resources and a satisfying sense of accomplishment. The map's size is substantial but never overwhelming, striking a delicate balance that ensures you're always discovering something new. The custom soundtrack accompanying "Bepis Bandits" deserves its own applause. TheMisterCat has selected tracks that perfectly complement the frenetic pace of the gameplay, enhancing the overall experience and immersing you further into the adrenaline-pumping world of the WAD. In conclusion, "Bepis Bandits" by TheMisterCat is a masterclass in Doom level design. TheMisterCat has not only created a fantastic WAD but has also cemented a place among the top-tier creators in the Doom modding scene.
  6. I for one am appalled at the pure amount of sex, drug use and violence on display at all times during an average run of Episode 1 by John Carmack. This might have been the norm at the time (1989) but frankly we as a society have moved past such degrading foul behavior. It's well known that people who play video games with this sort of content have consistently gone on to perform these types of behaviors themselves, and I'm going to bring this up at the next PTA meeting (I am on the board)

    how long will doom last?

What. The. Crap. I think maybe you might want to visit a site like OCRemix before you go making silly claims like this. There are hundreds upon hundreds upon thousands of game songs that have stood the test of time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrcUSiTj7JY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFcSBLP_4n4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8Ao63nmzuE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF9ZLNxHaBY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NITRZK8z0ek http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-7118ocSFg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfPX-gg2xhk Note that this stuff doesn't get 'lost to time', it is remembered, performed, remixed, sold as OST's. Not to mention that the bulk of Bobby Prince's work on DOOM is actually (ripoffs/homages) to a LOT of prolific rock/metal music.

    Classic stuff vs Ports' features

especially problematic when you realise you can fire directly up and hit monsters on ledges with your radius damage and they can't do a damn thing about it. lets face it, everything newschool is going to break something vanilla.

Added a new beam type - Goo. If your shot passes through a goo beam its velocity is reduced proportionally. Just taking some more clips of various weapons: Demon: Banana bomb: Headless Bomber: Parachute:

Well no, like stated it is from worms, but I believe worms got the idea from gorilla.bas, although they planned their gameplay more around Scorched Earth.
