Lost Souls lack respawn frames, and AFAIK that means they can never respawn.

I don't believe he is saying it was easy. But it's unfair to compare TCs created from scratch with one that is a remake of a commercial product and uses resources extracted from that commercial product.
-
http://www.classicdoom.com has a lot of information about the console versions, and comparisons with the PC versions. Cross-referencing with that should provide the information you seek.
-
Oh, I see. So everyone on your "kill" list is safe, and those people who aren't on it are the ones who need to watch out? Anyway, maybe the thread in question got helled in the end. I certainly haven't time to search for it, with the /newstuff Chronicles still to write tonight.

Click here for more exciting facts about the number 31.

Uh, you had some long rant about things you were fed up with, and it included the url for the goatse site.

To answer both questions: when they're done.
-
I don't think it's there unfortunately. AFAIK, it isn't included in the collector's edition. It was in the id Anthology, which sometimes comes up on e-bay (as I presume, does the stand-alone Master Levels CD).

I suspect Fredrik was referring to hell-related stuff like this about Algol: Maybe because I deleted your goatse link, rather than just banning you on the spot? Yeah, real mean that was. :p
-
(Yes, that is my guess. Well, sort-of guess, anyway.)
-
Heh, I can answer them all. The answers might sometimes be bullshit though. :p

Try consoledoom.

That's where Opulent's instructions come in. Yes, I was aware that you could start and stop demos in the way you describe (that's what I meant by it being messy), but don't regard that as much use - a demo should start being recorded as soon as you enter the map. That's standard Doom behaviour. Or at least it has been after version 1.2 or thereabouts. :)

Not true. I mentioned 2002ADO, as did ravage (who also mentioned Heroes). Ultimate Doom pwads would be represented more strongly in a list of favourite episodes.

Testing a weapon in ZDoom but i dont have the cheat for all weapons.

Maybe he's testing a Heretic map. :p -
What do you like to see in (insert theme) type maps?

I'm still hoping that ToD team-members such as sargebaldy and Hyena will take over Tale of Doom and complete it on their own. Anyway, what became of Thy Cave of Darkness? Is that one still in progress? -
Wow, that's an interesting title. Oh, and no one was being chastised. Isn't it relevant to the discussion here that there was a similar thread recently, where lots of people gave their answers to this same question? It might also explain the small number of on-topic responses.

what tools do i need to open .zdo demos
Grazza replied to mr.deathclown's topic in Speed Demo Submissions
I've no idea. I have never heard of this file format, and it isn't listed here. Where did you get it from? Or what program created it? The normal file extension for Doom demos is .lmp. Sorry, I don't know what a Doom parody video is either. -
No, that's a good answer. The doomguy kills me quite a lot, and often there's no warning at all. Blam! - he puts a rocket into a wall right next to me, and that's that. Oh, and pain elementals rule. It's one of the few monsters that can kill itself (by getting into a fight with its own lost souls), and it can be used to kill a boss brain. They can be useful in messy infights too. They have some weird properties - a PE can leave a corpse, and thus be resurrected as a ghost (or respawn on NM). PEs be a nuisance in Tyson demos though.
-
It's only called cheating if you pretend you didn't use savegames, and claim it was an unassisted demo (AFAIK, there haven't been any such cases for several years). I'm not sure that the tools for TAS demos are on the new TAS site (I can't find them, anyway). They are described on the old TAS site, but the download links don't work. Some of these tools can be found here though. It's probably simpler just to try some standard demos, at least to start with.

We've had this before, and quite recently too.

Note that you can't actually upload to that folder. Uploads are to ftp://archives.3dgamers.com/pub/idgames/incoming/ only. They get moved to ftp://archives.3dgamers.com/pub/idgames/newstuff/ by Ty if and when he approves them. This isn't intended as a nitpick - you do get people trying to upload to the wrong folder.

i want a modification on doom so i can get doom to be full screen on my laptop
Grazza replied to doom man's topic in Source Ports
Almost any port gives you the option of playing in full-screen mode (this tends to be the default option, so you probably won't need to adjust the settings). Try a variety of the popular ports and choose the one that suits you best. If you really want to use Doom95, then you can make that full-screen as follows:Click on "Advanced..." Click on the "Screen Resolution" tab Choose "Full Screen" rather than "Window" Click OK, and then "New Game" -
