Any links for the emulator & BIOS Enjay? I'll look myself now anyways. Yes a lot of spaces do seem bigger and they really went to town with the coloured lighting, really nice though. It's worth picking up PSX Final Doom too. A fiver seems an average price for each nowadays...bargain. Got 'em, I see there's an issue with the BIOS so one has to search.

No problem, maybe it's my obtuse sense of humour. Yes it would be nice if the storylines were at least coherent and made basic sense but they don't do they?...as you said: hence my comment meaning if you want real depth and coherence in a storyline you'd be much better off reading a good book. That's why I try not to think about the storyline in any great depth 'cos I'd soon get pissed off too, heh. I think the storyline for Doom3 will have to be much better, even though it's a 're-telling'.

Nobody said or even suggested that you were retarded. I merely said if you want a good storyline then read a good book, which is exactly the point that you make in your last post. The plot of Doom is shakey at best. You're absolutely correct it can hardly be called a great storyline can it? That's why I said if you want a good storyline go read a book because you certainly can't expect it with Doom, can you? My point would be that there is just enough story to be able to fill in the details yourself, in other words to let your imagination free as you do when reading a good book. This imo is what leads to greater immersion in a game, not a sensible and rigid storyline (that can work but replay value tends to be low). Btw, just like you, I'm giving my opinion, nothing more.

Yep the Baron is very much a stereotype, I've seen many demons that look similar, if not almost identical over the years. This is one of the reasons Doom is so popular imo, the wide appeal of certain stereotypical images which are primeval.

Omg if you wanna good storyline go read a good book. I really like both Ultimate Doom and Final Doom, it's just a question of degree. I prefer the challenge and variation of Final Doom more, especially Plutonia, the gameplay of Ultimate Doom is just a little bland in comparison. Btw the PSX version of Final Doom really kicks, any views anyone?
