Post Your (Other) Video Game Screenshots Here
IHave10Shells replied to Neurosis's topic in Everything Else
Been playing a lot of Age of Empires 1 lately. I still hugely prefer the OG rise of Rome over the definitive edition. -
Games you never dared to play on hardest difficulty?
IHave10Shells replied to jupiter_ex's topic in Everything Else
Oh man, that game was fantastic... shame that it got shut down. But really, for me personally most of it was actually pretty easy, except for that one first insecticon boss fight with grimlock, that was ROUGH. The final boss fight with megatron might also be hard to start with, but really you have to make liberal use of the shield and always keep attacking him up front rather than far away. I only died most of the time through lag and crappy rifle damage. I was playing on PC though, so I think I had it easier. -
Now I don't know if this has been done before, but if it has, just consider this an extension of that game. The rules are simple: - make a funny quote. - make it be said by someone. - Don't be disrespectful. Let me start with one to begin with: - "NGL, when we invaded Ohio, we didn't know that the place was already pretty bad to begin with." - random cacodemon from the hit game "DooM II: Hell on Earth"

Self-explanatory.

I remember in 5th grade I made a comic which had a "plot" involving aliens making dragons on prehistoric earth as a testing ground and a bunch of cavemen managed to kill them. Then the aliens got upset and then I planned to make it a series where the aliens sent random entities throughout human history to try and restore their project and kill the humans and it would culminate in a totally very epic final battle where the aliens got beaten and signed a treaty.... (I made the final battle part on a notebook page which has been lost to time.) I forgot about it all and never completed it. Yeah...I threw way too many ideas, along with trash drawing skills and zero story writing experience. Then again, I was in 5th grade. I did somewhat improve later on and made 2 other books which actually weren't as bad as this (and which I still have). I remember they were kept some kind of box in my house, until the box no longer had them. Despite how nonsensical they were, it does make me sad that I will probably never get to see them again. After all, not all cringe is bad cringe!

Put any random things you are happy about here.
IHave10Shells replied to coderamen's topic in Everything Else
Nothing personal to be happy about, but I'm glad I grew up on actual good and memorable shows as a kid instead of watching skibidi toilet. -
Pictures from my second wad ever (yes I used partial invisibility):

No completionist is going to track down your ip and send 7,000 pipe bombs in your mail man. Do what you want.

lol I just found out about both of these things via archive.org.

what (EDIT: Ok, sorry I did not get what you were saying. Plus, I have not played DooM 2016 yet so idk.)

when you play classic doom, do you go for 100% everything? (items, secrets and kills)
IHave10Shells replied to Aquarium's topic in Doom General
I try to go for 100% secrets most of the time. Kills are secondary, and item collection is less completionist and more a waste of time for me. -
yeah I kinda did that so it makes sense.

Pretty decent. The map is bland in design in some areas (The red room cyberdemon maze for example), but overall the gameplay is good. My favorite part was that one middle marble section before the ASHITTY walls area. I liked that broken grave thing in the cyberdemon room, and most of the encounters were pretty challenging. Secrets were pretty easy to find, but I only got 8 of them.

Honest opinions on Shores of Hell and Inferno?
IHave10Shells replied to Orchid87's topic in Doom General
Both are nice and quality episodes. (for me) I do acknowledge that it may have some weird texturing and design, as well as trashy gameplay at times, but I think overall it's not as bad to play as people say it is. Far more visually unique than episode 1 along with more demons and guns. Probably the only episodes I play in a single sitting. -
Mappers that developed a career or launched their own games?
IHave10Shells replied to DoomGappy's topic in Doom General
very obscure mapper. made some levels on a small wad called "doom". very underrated tbh. It's almost liked he worked on the game or something, his levels are top-tier. -
I am a newbie who has made two maps so far (this one and this one) so far. I would not consider them to be particularly fantastic or good but, I guess practice makes perfect...

I have not tried Delta Touch, but it looks VERY VERY promising with so many engines to play around with. Freedoom is great to play once you turn off freelook and fix the touchscreen controls (or with a controller). Its a massive shame that it's not being updated anymore. I even play some wads on it occasionally.

what do you think these three do together in their freetime?
IHave10Shells replied to Grungo's topic in Doom General
They pay a visit to John Carmack in order the keep the hyper-realistic simulation of earth intact by praising him. -
I've never understood why people HATE certain monsters. Sure, pain elementals and lost souls are annoying, but what other points are there to make them "bad"? It's kind of more of a threat level and personal preference thing for me. In that case, arachnotrons and spiderdemons are probably my personal least favorite (gameplay wise), mostly because they can't really serve as much of a serious purpose or threat as other demons in most official maps.
