No, you can use it for your maps, but using the OTEX textures alongside your map 

E. G. Mywad.wad OTEX.wad

But you can still use it, but you need tell people to load your map and textures at the same time. You'll be able to merge textures when it reach 1.0 .

Maybe in the future...OTEX is amazing, but im too noob to start using it...i need to study more about mapping and so. For now ill be taking the "average" ones, for my 5th map.

i can only recommend otex. nice rock and snow-textures and many marble-textures for temples, etc. it‘s really easy to use once you gain a first overview.

Ok..im doing Otex...it looks awsome and i did some testing. I already started my first map...ill have to change all the textures. Lol...
