Belial Posted January 2, 2006 http://numen.scene.pl/: Build engine for the Atari 8-bit. The ZX Spectrum one is probably just screens for lol value, like this: http://www.cling.gu.se/~cl3polof/doom64/ As for the C64, it's seen full 3d games before: http://pirates.emucamp.com/a/c/castlemaster/c64/main.html I'm sure the demos featured on pouet are legit, so kudos to the authors. Edit: And of course, the oldest FPS that I know of, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Eidolon 0 Share this post Link to post
Optimus Posted January 2, 2006 Numen, perhaps the biggest and most impressive 8bit demo I've ever seen. And yes they have used dukenukem3d maps and the map files are in the source code they released :) And wow, I didn't know Eidolon! Gotta check it right now in an emulator! Sometimes, I find quite more impressive the way old games tried to display 3d graphics. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ithorian Guy Posted January 23, 2006 Here's something else kind of like that that I just found. Sadly, it is also an April Fool's Joke. http://www.rockbox.org/doom/ 0 Share this post Link to post
