Why don't you use LilyPond for music?

I recently downloaded a program called LilyPond, which allows you to created sheet music and MIDIs with code, yes, code. LilyPond is actually pretty easy once you master it. All you do is group your instruments and code the notation. Typing music seems more efficient than using a tracker, except that if you want to make chiptunes or better music, you have to use trackers.
