It sounds like it might be exactly what Mister Zahl suggests, but I also wonder what level transition effect you're using (i.e. fade, melt, wipe, etc.) because it has been my experience that some video cards or certain versions of some video drivers can handle these effects badly.

The niche you specifically mentioned by name. An unpopular niche, as I said, but still a niche. Those wads do in fact get reviews eventually.
-
And you're expecting what exactly? As you and I are both fully aware, it's not a popular niche.
-
If that's true (and it sure looks like it is) then I've been "remastering" games myself almost as long as I've had a PC!
-
Is it just me, or is DOOM 3 a lot easier now?
-
Has anyone tried yet to see if any old Doom 3 mods will work with this?
-
Yes, it has been confirmed that there is a NERVE WAD included!

Eight new levels for roughly twenty USD; that's roughly 2.50 USD per level. That's not as bad as I thought it would be.

That's not what was said; the comment was clearly in regard to difficulty. The archive file comments are full of whining about things being too difficult, but IMHO such complaints are not valid as reviews since everyone's skills are different. What's too difficult for you might very well be a fun challenge for someone else.

I agree wholeheartedly, though I probably would have said something more like: "Not every game modification can be expected to be appropriate for every player's skill level or sense of aesthetics." EDIT: I tried to type the 24th and the 4th letters of the English alphabet together at the end of that sentence but each turned into an asterisk. **

IMHO reviews of a Doom wad really are no different than reviews of a box-office movie. There are always going to be people who will say that it's good and there are always going to be people who will say that it's bad. In the end you just have to wait for it to hit the half-price theater or get released on DVD and then check it out for yourself.

What? We can review our own wads? *starts hurriedly typing...*

Doesn't at least some part of the definition of the word "archives" denote that it contains old stuff? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archive

Take a look at a few of the ratings/comments for any wad in the archives and you're bound to come to these contradictory conclusions: 1.) Unless you create your wad as a genuine attempt to please everyone with total disregard for what you wanted it to be, it will be called "vomit" at least a dozen times. 2.) You can't please everyone, ever. No matter what you do someone will say it's the worst wad ever, so you might as well make it the way you want.

A Google search only produced these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79sxRxm2UpA http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=29915&start=105
