DeathMatch Chase

An arena-type, symmetrical WAD with several secrets and hiding places. Every weapon is present, and there are two Phoenix Rods for all you Rocket Launcher freaks.
There is an outer ring around the inner arena. This is a perfect setting for aerial chases. The arena provides plenty of room for a small scale war.

FOR REGISTERED VERSION OF HERETIC ONLY!! A Haphazard collection of large and small rooms that should "kill" your evening. There are some monsters to eliminate, but the real action is your opponent. Some weapons are difficult to get and the FireMace is damn near impossible.

Dozod's Deathmatch for Heretic "FINAL" VERSION

Dozod DeathMatch may be one of the best DeathMatch WAD's available, but of course I am biased. The two Maps, Graphics, and Function are top of the line. This WAD is destined to become a classic and no Heretic player should be without. Fast pace, intensity, and a smart layout, and quality of screen image "artwork" went into dozod_ht.wad in attempts to decrease the likelihood of any optical poptitude due to long periods of eyeball to monitor contact. I also have available these same maps "levels" for doom][ and hexen... and perhaps I will need to spiffy it up for quake someday. Also if you wind up saying to yourself hey this wad could bring upon world peace and provide further progress to space flight for our future generations chances are that many others before you thought the same thing.

A medium deathmatch level with five corridors. The weapons are accessed by a switch that is the same color as the room with the weapon in it. The outside corridors have teleports into the inner part of the level. Durkcrd.wad has nomonsters. Durkcrdm.wad has monsters.

This is my first Heretic wad.. It is a strickly Deathmatch level with a exit that is a pain to get to. It contains all the weapons of course. It starts you with a shield, an egg, and either a DragonClaw or a HellStaff with ammo. Then there is a teleporter into the main arena. The main arena contains lots of windows and not many places to hide. The music is also change to a song called HOEDOWN from the SoundBlaster AWE-32 Utils.

By Zerofuchs · PostedGreat WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter. Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest. -

By Walter confetti · PostedA really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat. -
By Fireseth · PostedOnly six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay. EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now. -
By CravenCoyote · PostedLots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches. Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.
