About This File

This concludes the Doom Core trilogy. Eternally Yours is an 11-map episode that should work for vanilla Doom. I would say the levels work better playing from pistol start to avoid having too much for the next level, but that's your decision. Anyway, I hope you enjoy playing them as much as I did making them. ~Mike

A bit harder than Reverie and Doom Core, and a bit trappier. It's a solid end to the trilogy, which is like a deluxe buffet of classic Doom (spiced with Valkiriforce's seemingly endless pantry of fun little map ideas). As a set, Eternally Yours is kind of in an odd position as it doesn't have the fun-on-greased-wheels feeling of Doom Core or as much panache as Reverie.

Why play Doom? Because it's fun. And that's what makes these levels better than 95% of the stuff here - they are just plain fun. Except map 9 which does horrible, fatal things to Doomsday.

Giving this 3*. I dont feel this is too good. I did not enjoy most of the layouts, and the texturing was quite boring in many places. It`s an okay romp, but nothing more.

The above is right. Honestly I don't see why so many pan VF's work.

An awesome level set. Wish it was as long as the other two entries in the trilogy but I'm not complaining. :P 5/5

Texture might be a bit boring, but gameplay @ UV is excellent! Map layout is good, lots of interesting surprises, hard, but always fair. Imho gameplay is the most important factor, so 5/5

Probably the part of the trilogy that'll get the most universal liking. I'm going to sneak 5 stars into this, I think it's very marginal for a full five but I feel nice enough to give it out.

It's definitely better than Doom Core, and most of the maps lean towards the standards of the better Reverie maps, so at the very least I'd say it's at least as good as Reverie and possibly better cause it really is the appropriate length IMO. That said, if you do like this, I'd certainly recommend giving Reverie a go, in fact I enjoyed it quite a bit myself. If this doesn't light your fancy, I doubt Reverie will either (unless you get immersed in the superb music this sadly lacks). I think both are good.

Possibly the best playing of the vf trilogy even if it's the shortest. Although personally I didn't find much wrong w/ Reverie.
