invictius Posted November 18, 2013 If you haven't tried it, try it out: http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=14504 Skip to map 14 and 15, being bounced around like a pinball and white water rafting is so much fun. Not really concerned about free-roam, just crazy-fun stuff like that. 0 Share this post Link to post
Marcaek Posted November 18, 2013 I think junko is in the same vein? It's by the same authors at least. 0 Share this post Link to post
Demon of the Well Posted November 18, 2013 Marcaek is right, in fact Junko actually contains some of the more advanced parts of Crapi, although its multiple map-to-map paths and possible early ending means you might not see most of them. Things actually very much like Crapi/Junko are pretty rare, or at least they've managed to elude me very well, anyway. Something that does spring to mind are the two Phocas Island WADs, with Phocas II probably being the most popular example of the style, although it deviates from DooM in terms of how combat plays out more than its predecessor or Crapi/Junko (although not so much that you won't recognize it, especially if you've ever played Hexen). Edit: Oh, if it's the wacky crazy minigame aspect you were after, rather than the adventure game aspect, ever played Turbocharged Arcade? 0 Share this post Link to post

Being spiked to death or playing battleship with a Cyb isn't fun. Rafting/tubing and being bounced around everywhere is fun. 0 Share this post Link to post
Shadow Hog Posted November 19, 2013 Well, the sequel added a Doom variant of Breakout, which is actually kinda fun. The ball is a rocket. The paddle is your face. You have to both hit the rocket to prevent losing a life, and grab a Megasphere between shots to prevent losing YOUR life. 0 Share this post Link to post
