stphrz Posted August 14, 2000 That's the mirror I use too. Even though I live in Canada, my connection to the UK site is 20 times faster than the one to cdrom.com. I get 80-90 kbytes/sec download vs about 3-4 kbytes/sec from Walnut Creek. 0 Share this post Link to post
boris Posted August 14, 2000 I've noticed that the download speed extremely depends on the time you download. When I downloaded some file at noon today I had 3kb/second (with my 28.8 modem). I guess that's because everybody in USA/Canada was asleep at this time. Since you live in Canada it's the same thing: when you dowload from the UK sever there are only little people in UK to download something :) 0 Share this post Link to post
