Hey been awhile since I checked in, I'm guessing my map is in a good place as nobody contacted me :) Is this out for public play yet?

Please at this point make a note or whatever to be aware it's a thing in your schedule, it's not the first time you're kinda just forgetting this exists for weeks.

Could use some more screenshots, tbh. We also need a README.txt file. Other than that, the thread just needs a bit of clean up and it should be fine.

There's a bug on MAP05 that causes these crushers to lower down and softlock the player out of the exit.image_2023-03-14_162712488.png.c24fd2a59053207b500e423d5c8f9de6.png
I'm not sure what I did wrong. I was taking out the imps from the place where you activate and deactivate the crushers, and they just suddenly lowered instantly.

I'll take a look tomorrow, but that map has a lot of voodoo stuff affecting those ceilings, so tracking down a particular combination that broke might prove pretty hard considering I didn't make it. Especially if it's some very particular order of events.

Don't forget to update the thread with them!

Also, we really need a README.txt file in with the wad. We'll need everyone's README file that was included with the wad submissions if they included them, and then organize it all into one README.txt file in the wad itself and in the zip folder that will house the wad as well. Hell, I'd be willing to compile a README.txt file together if someone else is willing to sift through the submissions to find all the README files that came with them.

pretty sure that to fix that you'll simply need to re-enter the room with the switches, as on entrance it automatically reopens the crushers.

I think I did that, but it didn't work...?

idk, if it's a repeatable linedef I wasn't able to trigger it when I played it. I'll take a look at it again later.

- added multiplayer-only teleporter into the white rock section

 

Map 04
- added multiplayer-only teleporter into RL arena

 

Map 40
- fixed missing player 4 start

 

Map 17, 26
- added missing coop starts

 

Map 35
- added missing coop starts
- added multiplayer-only berserk packs for players 2-4
- in multiplayer for progress-blocking bars a 4s door switch will be revealed on the outer side after ~20 seconds after lowering the bars (teleporters were hard to fit due to high map detailing)

 

Map 36
- added missing coop starts
- added multiplayer-only berserk packs for players 2-4

 

 

If authors disagree with my changes, please submit your fixes.

I'm not sure what you're talking about:

Spoiler

- for berserk secret you need to cross a line around the pinky/barrel bridge end that opens a teleporter in the marbleface column in pool of blood near blue door

- near that, a raisable wall is a secret that crushes SMMs

- last secret is a wall behind BFG SMM

Sorry is map 08, not 09, behind the BFG there's a sector that's too small to trigger and it shouldn't be a secret anyway.

I'll do my own version of the fix for Map 03. I will also change a few things thanks to the feedback from keyboard Doomer.

Made a few changes to my map following the feedbacks I got in the RC thread.
I added a teleporter for co-op to prevent a softlock. I also streamlined the map a bit, there is less switches to shoot and they are in more obvious places. Don't hesitate to tell me if it's still too tedious.

Not too thrilled with the choice of the title screen midi. It's... Off putting, to say the least.

So, I spruced up one of my old midis in my folder so that you can use it instead:
Ashtray.zip

EDIT: Also, might want to look at the intermission screens after MAP30. it didn't seem to show the "ENTERING" text or the map name CWILV text for me for whatever reason.
