Ah, call it trickaholic then (which is rather close to the truth, in fact...). :p -

Vampire 5 or Frodo 5 by by Darrell Bircsak E1M1 UV Speed in 0:32 A monster-opens-door trick. There's a void glide possible in this map, but it's useless. vam1-032.zip -
You should have included a by-the-foot poll like in this classic thread.

The DooMed Speed Demos Archive returns!

I recall Simon would sometimes talk of adding rather arbitrary time penalties for petty reasons, such as the player not letting the stats screen display for long enough, but I am not sure how often he actually did so. I don't remember anything about the specific type of instance you mention, but it wouldn't surprise me if there were others, given his overall tendencies in that respect. -
Yes! This is my favourite type of view: http://cdn.epicski.com/3/34/1000x1000px-LL-34ed6939_20150202_134734_1.jpeg (note: not in MN). Of course, I'll admit that if I had to commute to work each day, the winters might not seem quite so nice. Then again, on the morning of Jan 6, 2014 I was outside chipping ice just for fun.

Minnesota. Winters are perfect but summers are way too hot. People are generally nice, though it gives pause for thought that my congressional district elected Michele Bachmann. There's a decent airport 20 minutes away, so it is quite convenient for global travel. And lots of places are less than 20 hours' drive away.

Own. Barely see them, and never hear them. I don't know how to answer that. Not cooking. One (each). Serviced (though I do top up the wiper fluid myself to make sure it's the -30 stuff). I drive everywhere nowadays, if not flying. The time it takes to walk down the stairs. No. Yes. N/A. Yes. No. None. N/A. Two awesome cats. Most of the time I am awake. Not very. Variable: a lot in the ski season; limited otherwise. Never thought about it. Since I first understood what politics were. Not vastly. A few months (LED bulb in kitty night light in bathroom).

Which Wich is pretty good. You might want to avoid the Elvis Wich though.

I plan on getting it mixed up with Labor Day, as usual. Why they can't give these things readily comprehensible names like "Spring Bank Holiday", I don't know.

You've linked to the wrong DSDA wad page. This is the right one. -

For Cannonball's demos on The Blood Chapters for DOOM II, he appears to have failed to load the deh file (which makes extensive changes). For blo6n008.lmp it makes no difference, but blo8-236.lmp desyncs if the deh is loaded. Er, no. Very different category. -
You forgot to prefix that with "PROTIP: ".

Then look at map02 of this for a brain implosion.

I created some original origami designs, including an awesome octagonal table. And then there's that koppa thing.

This was on Phippsøya. Before going ashore, the area is scoured for PBs. Once ashore, the lead guide will go up to a high vantage point and check for any PBs along the planned route. This one was behind a similarly-coloured rock, and wasn't spotted. Once it was seen (kind of a creamy white speck in the distance through binoculars), we left with all deliberate haste. Fortunately there was no need to use any of the PB deterrents that we were carrying, much less fire any warning shots.

Off the top of my head... 1. As a kid, being in an old Mini on the M62 motorway when a tyre blew out. This was before the days of "run when flat" tyres. Ended up pointing the wrong way in the fast lane. Fortunately nothing was coming. 2. In an aeroplane that aborted its take-off somewhere around the last possible moment. 150-to-zero in a very small number of seconds. Waited for whatever it was we were about to hit, but it didn't happen. Air hostesses/stewards looked white as a sheet, as if they were about to throw up. Turned out to be a faulty indicator light. 3. Encountering a polar bear on land. Yeah. 4. When skiing, reaching the top of a chute called "Possible". Immediately realized that whoever had given it that name must have been a complete dick. There may have been scarier things, but I was prevented from seeing them by my Joo Janta 200 Super-Chromatic Peril Sensitive Sunglasses.

I watched a few seconds and then hit "dislike". kthxbye

There have been some discussion threads in this forum that might be helpful: https://www.doomworld.com/vb/doom-speed-demos/30335-learning-to-speedrun/ (general, but with a focus on speed-type categories) https://www.doomworld.com/vb/doom-speed-demos/18995-what-makes-a-good-max/ (about Max categories)

It's in the archive. It was posted in the CompuServe Action Games Forum a few months after its initial release with a text-file that did allow distribution. https://www.doomworld.com/vb/post/396302

Incidentally, does anyone know if there is a maximum size for the Ignore list? -
