I did attempt swapping instruments (and individual track octaves) but Doom has its own set of instruments and simply skips MIDI sounds that it doesn't support. It's very limited, but certain MIDI-based music translates really well, like breathe by the prodigy. That sounds wicked in MIDI format in-game, but I'm too worried to use it for one of my levels.

Well, looks like I created a MIDI tune for one of my levels too. Thumping rock track to get the blood pumping for battle. I'd rather be creating the levels than editing notes that's for sure. Still managed bassy chunky funkyness.
