About This File

The Graves of Thark. This world, in the Black Suns Zone, on the fringe of Faberian dominated space, was terraformed during the Second Empire, but with disastrous results. The world, called Necromancer because of the immense alien graveyard that was was discovered there containing some 400 milliom seperate stone coffins, was in fact a 'waiting place'. The world was called haunted because the waiting aliens destroyed every attempt to colonize it. This is what is left of Thark after years of destruction by the colonizers magicians. Can you survive the onslaught? Do you have the wit to solve the many tricks and traps that were left behind for you foolish magicians?

Decent level design, but far too many pickups, and this guy has a clear love affair for the Undead Warriors, and the Ghost Undead Warriors. It has my pet hate of Heretic-idiot-mapper s in this though: water that hurts. There is also nothing remotely grave-like about the level. Good for time wasting only.

A fun idea, a fun execution, and even more fun gameplay. Wonderful. A must play.

Great WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter.   Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.
