About This File

This is a huge level with hundreds of monsters. There are 7 Cyberdemons and 3 Spiderboss. I tried to avoid confusion and make some kind of a path for finishing the level (with keys) but I didn't succeed.

There are four secrets, a few surprise moments, a few very dangerous confrontations and poor ammo & health. All this could project this level as a ludicrous one, but I've seen worse.

This level is one of those where you must get the monsters killing each other because you don't have so much ammo as they do :).

Save often and take care of your health. I MEAN IT!

I enjoyed this. It's basically a slaughter map; a medium-sized arena filled with 300-or-so mostly tough monsters in mixed waves. It's a mess, but there's a lot of carnage and I like that. You need to provoke infighting, which is handy because there's a lot of it. The trickiest baddies are the long-range arachnotrons, which are arranged in such a way that their fire misses most of the other monsters, because you don't have enough bullets to snipe then away.

A fun idea, a fun execution, and even more fun gameplay. Wonderful. A must play.

Great WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter.   Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.
