How do you edit a sprite

I just want to know.. how do you edit a sprite in the XWE wad editing program?

If you double-click the picture you get the palette based internal editor. Or you can also use "Save As" under the Entry menu to save it as a BMP and edit it with a graphics editing program like The GIMP or Paint Shop.

Use Wintex. XWE isn't the most efficient way to directly edit sprites because you have to save it externally. Wintex allowe you to draw them right with the program by opening a paint window and when you exit, will automatically safe your new picture.

You can, though XWE's internal sprite editor is mostly used for final touch ups.
