    Bug in Zandronum?

    Hello. I've been using Zandronum lately so I can play the Doom Mod known as Clusterfuck, and I noticed something odd. When I pick up a key, I get the text message "You picked up the [colour] keycard." and it shows that I got it on the HUD. But the key itself is still sitting there in the map. Is that a bug in the Zandronum source port or is it the CF mod that I am using?

    Hello. Just an update. I have tried out a few custom sprites (just a few simple bushes/plants) and they work. I'm not going to do it with weapons and monsters though as CF has plenty of them lol, but I will keep all the custom things in the GZDoom version of my wad (weapons and monsters too.) Transferring the map from GZDoom to Zandronum was easy enough, just a little change in the map settings on the GZDoom Builder. Thanks again for all your help in getting custom wads to work for me on CF. Hope you have a good weekend.

    I'll give it a try. I'll just stick with the custom textures first before trying it with the custom sprites (lights, obstacles, decorations, ect.) Thank you so much for all your help, mate. I really do appreciate it. 👍

    I get you now. It was because of the source port in which I was designing the map for. I was using the 'GZDoom (Doom in UDMF)' format. But would the custom textures and sprites work on CF under 'Zandronum (Doom in UDMF)' format?

    What if I made the map under 'Zandronum: Doom 2 (Doom Format)' on the GZDoom Builder instead of using 'GZDoom: Doom 2 (UDMF)' Would my custom maps work on CF then? Seeing as CF only works on Zandronum. Sorry to keep pestering you with all this.

    I have noticed not everything work in CF when using UDMF maps. I tried another one of my maps and unreachable doors to release monsters did not open when I collected keys (as that's how I set it) also monsters did not spawn in neither so that's two commands/actions I know that do not work. I'll keep it in mind for future reference. When I upload my custom wad for people to download and play, I'll make notes on what Source Ports it work on and what mods work with too. Eg. "Suitable on G/ZDoom. Works with Brutal Doom Project Brutality. Does not work with CF" I have also noticed that a few of my maps don't work at all on Zandronum, a fatal error appears saying something is wrong with a line in DECORATE file, but I when check the line using Slade, nothing appears to be wrong with it.

    Okay. I tried an old map I made using standard textures and that was UDMF. Works fine on CF. So if I want to play my own maps on CF, I got to stay away from UDMF maps? And also use just the standard textures until CF becomes fully compatible all kinds of maps and custom textures and sprites?

    I just had a thought. Would adding all the Clusterfuck files (wads & pk3s) into the Resources section on the GZDoom Builder, obviously use Zandronum as the game engine, work with my wad? It worked when I did it with Brutal Doom Project Brutality.

    It's works just the same, but still not with my wad. I'll just have to wait for whoever to get back to me on the site that has CF and see what they say. Thanks for the help. Appreciate it.

    A couple of things there I don't have, and a couple of things I have but the updated version. I tried an old map that I created ages ago, and textures were missing, but as soon as I added; ZandroSkins_v04.pk3 DustSkins.pk3 It worked, but that map used standard textures. My custom textures are still missing. I've messaged the creator of the site CF is on so just waiting to see what they say. If it comes to it, I'll just have to copy and paste my map, and replace the custom textures with the original Doom textures. I just don't understand how other custom wads work but not mine. 😔
