About This File

This is another level featuring a large hall. Of course there's lotsa neat stuff to get there. Also, this is the second level I sketched on paper before building. The first was ying1.wad, check it out. Built most of the level with DEU2 hack for doom2. Furnished it with DCK 2.0

Like my first wad (eyestorm) this one has some extra stuff for deathmatch- secret passages, teleport, extra weapons and such.

Sui Generis

Fairly unremarkable, competent old Doom 2 level, with ok gameplay. It includes a combination of narrow underground caverns and brown bricks. Too much of the map and gameplay takes place within bland, narrow corridors. There are a few open areas which are more interesting and a nice big hall with several monsters near the end, but there are numerous orthogonal corridors and such to clear through to reach it. It's reasonably fun but not great.

This is a hodge-podge mash-up from 15(!) years ago. It's got lotsa secrets (although none particularly secret) and a pretty schizo theme. It's all over the place. It's a fun level to shoot shit in, but nothing to set it apart.

A fun idea, a fun execution, and even more fun gameplay. Wonderful. A must play.

Great WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter.   Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.
