Murderous Owl Posted November 28, 2023 I was just curious if I were to take a 15 second video into a gif, then convert that gif into images, and then took the audio file from the video, would I be able to put it into a Doom map as an Easter egg? 0 Share this post Link to post

Hebonky Posted November 28, 2023 Yeah, you can. I don't know how, but you can 0 Share this post Link to post
JadingTsunami Posted November 28, 2023 Ok. I'll let someone else answer then as there's probably a GZDoom-specific way that would be optimal. 0 Share this post Link to post
Hebonky Posted November 28, 2023 If you can make a thing's active sound the audio for the clip then you can shred the video into different pictures as you said and turn it into an animated texture. 0 Share this post Link to post

ramon.dexter Posted November 29, 2023 Dont do i via textures...if you're targetting gzdoom, it knows at least 3 video formats... https://zdoom.org/wiki/Video_format 0 Share this post Link to post
Rifleman Posted November 29, 2023 I made one once - it needs to be 256 colour max. and need to be converted to IVF format using ffmpeg and command(video file needs to be in the same folder as ffmpeg): ffmpeg -i inputfile.mp4 outputfile.ivf Then you need to extract audio into a separate file, as the video will be mute, and put them in the same folder with the same name. And then add the section to MAPINFO: https://zdoom.org/wiki/Cutscene_MAPINFO_properties And they can't be played in the map, only as intro, outro and in-between levels/clusters, AFAIK. 0 Share this post Link to post
