Blair to be impeached

Recommended Posts

According to some historians, the Black Celts were the first inhabitants of the British Isles. They are supposedly the "Fomorians" mentioned in numerous Irish legends, and were of the same racial stock as the Basques of Spain.

It's thought that Scandanavian countries also had a large number of blacks during the time of the Vikings, and some of the most famous Vikings - such as Earl Thorfinn (who ruled over nine earldoms in Scotland and Ireland during the 10th century) and Thorhall (one of the early Vikings alleged to have sailed to North America) - were supposedly black.

Another theory is that the British druids are descendants of priests of various oriental countries - particularly India - who emmigrated to Britain. This explains why there are certain similarities between two apparently seperate religions.

What's funny is that there was apparently a tribe of black coloured people in the British isles long before the white man came along.

Can you be black and coloured? :P

No, black is absence of color.

Wrong. Black is a color, but corresponds to the absence of light.

Technically speaking, black is merely the absence of the wavelengths of the visible light spectrum. So when you are in a room with no lights and everything around you appears black, it means that there are no wavelengths of visible light striking your eye as you sight at the surroundings.

Light is by definition visible. Electromagnetic radiation of wavelengths other than those which are visible to the human eye is not light. So absence of visible wavelengths is just a needlessly long expression for absence of light.

Depends on your point of view. If it's based off of foo-foo arts theory, then no, black isn't a colour. It's a shade. If you're point of view is that of the normal human being, then yes, black is a frickin' colour :P

So you've got a choice - you can be a foo-foo, or of the norm :P

There's only one color of skin pigment for humans, and that's brown, so darker skinned people are just those who have more brown skin pigment than others. I don't mean to sound snobby or "intellectual", it just irks me sometimes when people use the term black to describe someone of darker skin tone.

Sorry, I have no idea what "foo-foo arts theory" is. And it doesn't sound useful, either.

In art, black is all colors and white is no colors. At least that's what I always heard.
