Well thought out level set by a great mapper. The gameplay is mainly short, intense battles in close (not cramped) quarters. Fun, and has replay value.

Hmm, nice maps. Simple yet nice details that weren't overly complex. You should do a 32 map megawad.

At first I thought, for map1, that this mapset won't be too interesting, if author starts it with remake. Fortunately, I was wrong. This mapset is great, tastefully designed and with flawless gameplay. Ammo and health are perfectly balanced, and there are no places, where you running in circles in miriad of identically looking corridors and doors. Either, there is no panic chaotic battles. Everything here have purpose and sense, design is beautifully clean - I love it. -- Brun Ohn

This was pretty cool. MAP01 was an intereseting remake of Doom 2's MAP01. MAP02 was pretty neat, although a bit on the easy side. MAP03 was my favorite. The level design for all the maps were very good and there is plenty of action. 5/5

Greats maps. Only three maps, but they're funny. The first is a remake, but a great remake. The last is a pretty map. Good gameplay, but a bit easy. 4.5/5

What others said. Good balance, non linear, excellent use of smaller battles and basic guns.

I was a bit disappointed. Level one is a remake of Map01 but with very little ammo and without the chainsaw! Madness. It looks nice. Level two is one of those levels where you go to one end, flick the switch, go to the other end etc; it's decent, but reminded me of Quake II. Level 3 is also decent and has a nice dinghy, but I was expecting something with more... oomph.

Great WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter.   Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.
