"I doubt the wisdom of the whole Quake 2 for Doom philosophy seek help man" Go troll and abuse the rating system somewhere else crackhead. This wad is good. 5 out of 5

Amazing! This is one of the best levelsets I've ever played. The unique combination of icy exteriors and quake 2/darkening 2 like interiors, professionally detailed architecture, lots of great tricks (there is a level that is completely set in a moving train, that's right), multiple mission objectives, this set manages to use all the blessings of zdoom editing and make doom a modern game in every sense of the word. A must. 5/5.

This has excellent flow and enjoyable fights - one of the best wads out there. The nitwits who said its boring were probably disappointed that there weren't 2000 monsters per level :). Really great work. 5/5

Well i must say that this is some good stuff. I like the new textures, and the spooky factory sounds in the background. It was pretty much fun begining to end. It was easy and I thought there was way to much ammo but with a level this good otherwise, who am I to bitch. 3/16/07

For 2002 year- and for now 2012- it is not bad wad... Really. Music and sounds is very ambience, but mapping such as piece of shit! Really! 5 stars - is too much... 4 stars! Russian DooMer

A very nice wad, though I'm not quite as enthusiastic as some of the other reviewers. The last two levels are a particular let down, being really too easy and uninspired. Overall still 4/5

A solid set of maps that remind me of an earlier, somewhat less epic and grand version of "The Ultimate Torment and Torture." I had fun playing through this WAD and completing the many unique tasks. I must say that I like TUTaT better, but I like "Dark7" well enough. 4/5

Quake 2 for Doom, although not as good as The Darkening and its sequel, which was also Quake 2 for Doom. This is simpler and easier, and doesn't take all that long to finish. It's fun while it lasts, but it's a bit spartan, and I doubt the wisdom of the whole Quake 2 for Doom philosophy; it's like a replica car made out of Lego, in that it's impressive as a technical feat but not as good as driving a real car.

The author must have had some sort of hissy fit, and removed this almost universally liked Zdoom wad from the archive. Some of the mirrors fail to remove files when they are removed from the main archive, which is why it can still be downloaded from youfailit.net. It should also be on any no-longer-updated mirrors, if there are any. 0/5 for the author's silly decision. The wad itself is 4+/5 material (recommended even for those who normally avoid Zdoom wads).

Lotta fun. The mission-/objective-b ased play is a big plus and gives a real marine-like feeling (I wish more WADs were objective-based). Kewl music. Secuity cams sweet. Not even boring. Belial doesn't know what he's talking about. Why post excessive guard-patrols in hallways? Wouldn't, like, doors be a smarter place for them? And since when is Q2 boring? Maybe Belial should doulble-time it through those halls LOL! --WinstonSmith6079

I didn't remove the wad on purpose. For some reason it got deleted from various archives. I had to re upload it to get everything back to normal so everyone could download it. Sorry about the confusion -Bryant 'Gunrock' Robinson

I've got one word for this WAD...FANTASTIC. This must be the first WAD I've played with trance and acid techno music in it. Great action and gameplay. Too bad it's too short. 5/5.(it deserves 10/5)

Lot of work, and has a few nice scenes. But: most of the scenes layout is quite rectangular and too often simple, lots of empty rooms/areas. Texture variation is small. Lots of useless decorations. Gameplay @ UV is way too simple, and worse: very repetitive, missing leitmotiv, switchhunt, so mostly boring. Often plain poor monster placement. Automap needs updated. UT sounds do imho not fit. Overall: maybe small 4/5 in 2002, now 3/5 for the efford.

Great WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter.   Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.
