About This File

This is my first level that I ever made, converted from Heretic to Doom2. I experimented with different things, and it came out pretty good. The level has 4 main rooms, then you have to use some switches to get to the other areas. There is one secret room. This is beatable without cheats and you are very well supplied with weapons and things. Check it out, and send E-Mail.

Large and somewhat convulted map, but very enjoyable, i played it along all the dystopia serie (where is dystopia 1?) so this one comes as the prequel of the most know and beloved Dystopia 3.
All in all this is a very entertaining and fun map.

Supossely it is an Heretic map converted to Doom, but i found it pretty fitting in both.

This is way better than the Heretic version, both in gameplay and looks, and it still gets the '1st map' bonus :). 4/5 - Belial

This is dated August 1995. It's very good for an early level, still decent nowadays; the only big problem is that the "hub" is very cut-and-paste. Starts off uninspiring, with some monotonous stonework, but expands; there's a lot of action, a fun multi-boss battle, and a couple of mild puzzles. There's an odd thing in the SE hub room - an invisible block that's either a wall (Zdoom) or stairs (PRBoom), and doesn't seem to exist if you edit the level.

That was an ok map. Good up until the barriers came up blocking the path to the red key door. After that , I just gave up, noclipped through the barriers and exited.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
