About This File

A doom map hub based on the Instituto Tecnologico de Ciudad Madero. It's an outdoor/indoor map, with several short missions depending on the player's choice on where to explore and the objects found and collected. Single or multiplayer modes are selected from the New Game > Episode menu.

A mod that clearly took a lot of work. It is a six-map hub that takes place within a large campus. The wad does a nice job setting up the atmosphere, but unfortunately it is countered a bit when you fight nazis out of nowhere. :P

I agree, the level design is quite impressive. Not too small, not too large, just right. One downside I did not enjoy, the text dialogue was not written in English. Other than that, the gameplay is straight forward with a decent amount of challenges. Good job and keep it up! - Doom Masta

Don't listen to Doom Masta Bates up there; if anything besides English turns you off you should probably be out at a Klan rally anyway. Nice idea for a hub, and the gameplay keeps you on your toes.

It looks pretty good as far as reproductions of existing places go (although it's still squarish), but unfortunately it gets boring VERY quickly. There's no action to speak of, just endless exploring of a huge map strewn with random buildings and mostly empty rooms. If you're familiar with the ITCM, you might enjoy it, but if not? Don't bother, it's a waste of time. The fact that it's not even in English doesn't help, either. 1.5/5 - ZZ

Boring. The interior of every building is identical so i got lost. I wasted a lot of time going into every room thinking there was a key there. Door sound was annoying. Why were the doors platforms? Bathrooms were dumb, once again i wasted my time in there and the shit on the floor was pointless. Nazis were out of place. I can speak Spanish, but not all Doomers can, so a translated version or option would be nice. I eventually got sick of wandering lost so I didn't finish the map. 2/5 -Aenima

Actually, this is one of the few wads where language may matter a bit. It didn't make sense for people to barrage eviltech for the nonenglish map titles, because that does not effect gameplay in any way. ITCM doom, however, frequently has messages that pop up to help guide you through the maps, and while it may be possible to beat it without them, it would probably take a lot longer.

I personally like maps that are remakes of your room, school, university, etc. And this one is interesting. With special lighting from GZDoom, ambient sounds, many surprises, it creates some atmosphere I have not played before on Doom. But the campus is sooo big, I was sooo lost and apparently one has to understand Spanish to get a clue what to do next. I think. 3.5/5 - Optimus

TBH, if you want those players who want to play your map. at least use English for all goddamn texts in-game, or made a English translations version of everything in this wad. I can't read anything even shit at this wad. But the design looks decent, and I play this at 2013/12/30, which just some days ago of this wad storyline take place. But, no, I can't understand all of Spanish texts so it's just bad for me. 2.5/5

      As Jack the Ripper said: "Let's go in parts"   Decoder (MAP01): Quite short, I quite liked it although it seemed to me that there was very little room to maneuver in the first and last part of level 4/5   Look into my Eyes (MAP02): much shorter than the previous one but this one is more focused on traps, in which I almost fell a couple of times and I was able to take advantage of the last trap quite well against the demons 5/5   Mechanized Wrath (MAP03): I HATE THIS, mainly because it is a level that depends a lot on luck that the lord does not shoot right when you teleport and it was only because of that luck that I passed it 2/5   Batallion (MAP04): I really liked the dynamics of small confrontations and that you can choose if you want to start it instead of whether or not to start it after a combat 5/5   Templar (MAP05): this is quite annoying to be honest, especially the end, when you think everything is done, the most annoying enemies of all Doom2 appear THE FUCKING ARCH-VIL 3/5   Kill John (MAP06): WE WERE GOING SO GOOD, BUT WE HAD TO RUIN IT WITH THE OLD "level with artificial difficulty that is only there so that you can't pass it in at least 1 hour of attempts" 1/5   Look now, in retrospect, after having passed each and every one, it's not that bad, I mean yes, more space would be needed in some areas and fewer enemies in levels 3 and 6, but I honestly think that Obsidian, when it comes to making the maps, he didn't really care about that, they were his first times creating them and therefore his obvious inexperience shows, but they are 30 minute maps after all, so... Good   Here I leave you some screenshots of the first levels, since they are the only ones in which I was able to take nice screenshots.

      The only problem I had with this map was that the final battle was a little unfair but other than that it's pretty good   In fact, I would say that this is what I would expect from an official level of any other Boomer Shooter, especially if you add the Flashlight++, it adds a vibe of a current Boomer Shooter in mine level   I loved it

      The midtexture hidding mancubus was too much... This is already a frustrating monster to fight against to me, so this was a little bit too much and almost made me ragequit the map tbh. Lose a star because of that :/ Above that, not bad map !

      I understand that you did it in an hour but... was it necessary to put the enemies in the Spawn? From there on it improves a lot, especially the ending, it's good but the first impression is very bad.
