About This File

After the release of "Cheogsh", the ideas of what should be included in it have appeared; and the number of those ideas was so big – that the thought of making Cheogsh 2 have appeared by itself. But initial concept of the wad, around which this wad was meant to be built, hasn’t justified itself – this has predetermined long and uneasy destiny of all project. As a result, Cheogsh 2 came out not so epic, as it was meant to be initially. But we hope despite that, this wad did not become less interesting. Thanks all who helped us while we were working on it.

To play Cheogsh 2, type the following command in Start-Run: gzdoom.exe -file cheogsh2.pk3

You also can regulate speed of messages in dialogues - T button by default. Volcanoes effects can be turned on/off by pressing U button. Also, an alternative HUD is recommended to be used. Have a good game!

Looks amazing, plays amazingly bad. I had no idea what the heck I was supposed to do for at least half an hour.

What have see so far is very good, atmospheric, absolutely beautiful architecture without the overly developed gameplay that most people like and I don't. I don't mind waiting for a bit to kill things as long as there is lots to kill. Only problem is my computer is too pitiful and lags like hell so I have only entered the graveyard and killed a few baddies. One day I will have a better computer and then I will play it properly.

Hey all - love the wad - anyone know how to get out of the Labrynth of the Bones? Have opened and done all the 'passes' - north, south, east and west, done all the stuff with the black and white skull key, but am dead trapped in the lab of the bones. It's an invisble teleport that keeps putting me back in the same area with a non-working teleporter... how do i get out?

Lots of ripped bells and whistles to take away the attention from the awful awful game play. 2/5 Kristus.

Great WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter.   Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.
