About This File

A really kewl and really hard level. Lots of cool architecture. Really a lot like the original episode 4.

If John Romero claimed this map as his. I'd believe him until how I found out how to reach the blue key on the ledge.

I'm stealing that trick.

Pretty tasty in terms of wads being food, but that's not the point, the true point is that this map is pretty good even better then hell beneath in general. Now onto some of the basics: the map design and geometry is good the pentagram was a welcome sight with the familiar eye-raping red color, it isn't too challenging on ultra violence so in general it's a good map.

Rating: 10/10

Very good level. E4 style, rather short (If you don't straferun and miss important trigger line like me).

I'm not sure, but I don't think this is how pentagram looks like :D

Way ahead of it's time, captured the E4 feel and then some.

One of the best single level wads ever made.
Excellent stuff. Appears in Memento Mori as
Map08.

Perhaps one of the most influential and one of the greatest WADS of 1994. The Evil Unleashed is a really well-done WAD episode pack for Doom 1 (1993). This episode pack is very neat and very excellent in terms of the structure of  the 9 levels, the many secrets and traps, the well designed textures, the good enemy layout, and the weapons layout. I consider The Evil Unleashed to be a truly a great wad because considering this was released in 1994, a time when doom mapping was just beginning and the many tools of the trade that we use to this very day were just seeking development and their first releases. Overall, The Evil Unleashed is a very very good wad and considering it was released in 1994, it is one of the first wads to incorporate a polished map set. 5/5 :)

One of the early maps by russian (iirc) mapper Wraith, this level is sets into a big prison (?) surrounded by a lava canyon, maybe way too squarish but not a horrible map overall, just a first effort map like many others.

Finale to the Wasteland. Your worst enemy is looking you from far away. Interesting gameplay.
