Go for it! I was thinking of doing that but I need to concentrate on IRL stuff and like 3 other projects, so it would take a while if I did it.

I'm starting a new map for the Map09 slot, I'm thinking this one is a little too complex for this wad. After playing some of your guys' maps, I realized it would bring the pacing to a screeching halt. Might also change the song, but I'll get to that.

I had to do that too. The first map I started was a bit too much. It had 100+ monsters and wasn't even half done lol.

Playing the old and tiny MAP03 by @Codename_Delta and knowing that it had to be Vanilla compatible (later changed to Limit Removing) I knew that I didn't have to make it too big or complex. And since I chose one of the secret maps, I could get away with doing something gimmicky rather than stick to the doom formula.

Okay, so I read through @TheLippyServer and @Drywtler's feedback and here's the list of changes I have planned for version four.

 

Changes Planned:

- Walkable area will be increased, I'll add some bollards out in the ocean to indicate that the player cannot pass that cordoned-off section of the ocean and the existing blood floor will hurt. Possibly on easier difficulties there will be some radsuits provided to the player to make fighting on the ocean more viable

- The boardgame switch teleporters will now lower the gate around a teleporter located nearby, possibly on a small island nearby the main ones so that the teleports don't accidentally get stepped on

- More trees will be removed, such as the ones around the cacodemon staircase, blood waterfall pit teleporters, and possibly also some of the ones around the columns on the red torch island

- Some monster rising floors will be combined, and others will have the monsters free-roaming the island already upon arrival (eg. the Imps on the red torch island made to be aboveground upon arrival like the pinkies on the blue torch island)

- Final section will have one Archvile on HNTR, two on HMP, and all five on UV

 

I think these changes may significantly change how some fights will play out so it'll take a while for me to implement them. Until then, if there's any more issues on lower difficulties please let me know because I mostly test on UV and I don't have a good feel on what HMP or HNTR is supposed to feel like difficulty-wise.

I did say that he should have a map ready, but for inclusion's sake, another collab would be the way to go. Again, up to @ThatKidBobo and @Hitboi.

Hmm since nobody is doing stuff ill just try to make a map and give it to @ThatKidBobo and @Hitboi to improve. this post will have the map after a little bit of time, im planning to make it sky themed.

Make sure it's this one but C R I S P Y and that's it.

And all walls except the emoji one should be FIREBLU. And make the FIREBLU starting animation frames different for each wall, so alternate between FIREBLU1 and FIREBLU2.

Why don't we wait a bit more until Hitboi and kidbobo come to an agreement, or one allows the other to take the slot? You already have two slots, if I'm not mistaken. I just think it's fairer to both mappers.

Sooo... UDB crashed and corrupted the wad (I even looked in the TEMP directory, no actual working wad there) so I have to restart progress. I'm working on detailing the beginning area a bit more again, here's an image: mep.png.d628d9fcf9092aeacbd7d07ee7c7d2e7.png

Ah man, that's sad to hear. That starting area looks good though, I hope it didn't set you back by too much.
