I never expected Espi making a map with such pointless gameplay. It may look quite difficult, but after having cleaned a first room, there is enough distance between the player and the monsters, so the rest @ UV is as easy as stampin' on kittens. That's the remaining gameplay: repeating the same simple shooting about 80 times. Yawn. BTW please don't make jokes about cancer, Espi suffered from it and finally it took his life. Thank you.

This level isn't really bad, but it's very weird. You must to locate keys in a series of square rooms that are invisible on the automap, each full of pain elementals and lost souls that you are forced to fight with a rocket launcher. Once all the keys are collected you go to a very sadistic end fight before exiting.

Really challenging map, and nice idea for gameplay. Player is up against a maze of rooms filled with pain elementals, armed with only a rocket launcher. 4/5 -r_rr

I don't know which was more annoying, the level or the music. Either way, neither was close to decent. Plus the title is geeky and lame.

The music annoyed me, but hell, can do without with. Unfortunately, this reminds me of Slige maps. But rocket spamming is always plus factor for me, so 4/5 - zep

What's the point? A map with 81 square rooms (9 by 9 grid) that, aside from the very middle one, the appearance of keys in three of the rooms, and door placement along the sides of the "grid", are 100% identical to each other, and then some slightly different rooms on one of the ends (behind the locked doors). The music is some annoying noice repeating every 2 sec. There's way too many rockets for it to be a challenge. This is pointless, and I know Espi is (was) capable of far better. 0/5

I liked it - @ above reviewer, what's the point of any doom map? Did you even beat the map? If you want a challenge, do a max run in under 10 mins without save games. It's really easy to get lost because the automap is blank and all the rooms are the same.

Great WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter.   Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.
