About This File

Following the success of the original Community Chest, Community Chest 2 is a 32 map megawad including levels made by 26 different authors from the Doom Community. Originally announced almost one year ago in December 2003, it is now complete and ready for your enjoyment.

I bet CC4 will be better than this! My liking order from fave to worst: 0. Community Chest 4 (since it's not yet released, I placed as 0) 1. Community Chest 2 2. Community Chest 3 3. Community Chest 1 I don't say that 1 was bad but it was the first from series and is known to be less detailed.

Played all CChest 2. Map16 sucks. Map23 is my favorute-good detail and music from the DTCA author, Cyber-Meance. =P Great stuff! I vote again cuz I like this wad. =P 5/5- That Moti Guy

Just like the first installment, this is a very mixed bag. Some maps are "good enough" but don't stand out, some are bad (Gene Bird's levels especially, but also "Geist Halls"); better ones include "Through the Black" and "The Marbelous Three", and maps 28-30 alone make this worth downloading. MAP24 ("The Mucus Flow") also deserves a look due to its design and atmosphere, though it's very frustrating in terms of gameplay (failing to provide adequate amounts of ammo seems to be B.P.R.D.'s thing in general.)

nice job overall.the green "mucus flow" map 24 is really really beautiful!!! Also map 23 ! those jewels 5/5 average 4.5/5 :( no 4.5 option hehe so 5/5

Awesome! I liked levels 15, 32, 23, 24, and 27 the most, but I thought levels 4, 9, 12, 16, and 25 weren't really that good, because they were rather plain-looking. Level 24 was really challenging and beautiful. Level 23 was pretty great too (the music is actually from Mega Man X3). Level 32 was also great and beautiful; nice temple and badlands. I give this a 4/5, because there were some maps that weren't that good, but I do urge you to download this WAD now!

Some of this wad levels are good or very good: 1,2,3,5,6,7,11,14,17 ,18,19,20,22,23,24,2 7,28,29,30,32. Others are craps or big big craps: 4,8,9,10,12,13,16,21 ,23,25,26,31 (GeneBird, you're a loser). Overall is 3/5. Sorry for masters as B.P.R.D., Linguica and Chopkinsca...

I played the first level 'cuz I didn't have too much time to play ZDooM this week but even from the first few glipses I'd say it's very good stuff. Yes indeedy. I'd also say that it could've been better, and could have had more detail. But then again I'd even say that about KDIZD. So bleh.... -GeeDougg

Marred some by Gene Bird's load of maps, but still, there's some really awesome stuff in here otherwise! I think I'll forgive the Gene Bird shortcomings and give it 5/5 anyway. The other maps are (mostly) just fantastic!

Map1-good 2-awsome 3-confusing but good 4-not bad 5-very hard not enough ammo 6-fair 7-work of art detailed 8-looked shitty hard and fun to play 9-crappy 10-nice tech map 11-started weird got better 12-13-ok too much health ammo 14-lots of fun 15-acid part sucks ass 16-sucks 17-find the secret 18-lost intrest 19-EXCELLENT 20-21-ok 22-huge tough fights 23-got lost 24-no ammo 25-good 26-27-lost 28-kinda dumb 29-kick ass 30-gay 31-too hard even for me 32-good detail hard 7/9/07

WTF. WTF is this? I thought it was going to be 'better' than the first one??? First 2 maps were great, it all went to sh!tsville after that. Avoid this wad like a genital rash.

Some very good maps here. My favourite 2 were Map20 and 27. A few ordinary maps. But overall a good megawad. -PC 4/5

Great map-pack. But Gene Bird (maker of levels 4, 8, 12, 16 and 25) really needs to improve his skills at architecture because they look rather bland. 4/5

With improved standards than the already good CC1, it's a sure winner! The maps have surprisingly good flow with each other and there is a good balance throughout. The authors should all be commended for this great effort. 5/5. -TRRobin.

      These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

      A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

      Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

      Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

      It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
