I played this with the latest version of ZDoom and have had no problems or bugs appear. I also never had any ammo problems and used the chainsaw wisely. This makes a great classic map and I enjoyed the gameplay. 4/5

So it's one level. Why is there a health pack right next to the exit? It's one level. I don't get why that's there. Bah.

Contrary to what the first reviewer said, this is actually a very nice map. It's a clean, simple E1-style design; errors are few (I caught one misaligned texture, myself, no HOMs!), and ammo is fine, too, if you don't waste it. Recommended, 4/5.

Nice level. No bug's whatsoever, plenty of ammunition... moderate difficulty. I really liked the map, decent design, good gameplay. 4/5.

I love old-school shit like this, playing with GZDooM and it's working fine, I guess if you get something wrong like HoMs or thing doesn't work and it's because you're not using ZDooM based port. Read the TXT isn't hard. :p Well, I hope it can be more details on it... XD 4.5/5 -playerlin

Not half-bad classic style map. If anything it just needs a bit more polishing. BTW there are two copies of this map - this is the newer one.

Visually, this map was pretty unappealing, with lots of unpegging errors, repetitive brown texturing, a HOM on the door behind the entrance, and so forth. The gameplay is decent, although there's too little shotgun ammo given that the player isn't given the chaingun very promptly. Not too bad, but certainly needs work. 2/5

^ If you dont play a map, you dont know if it's good. Looking around is misleading. The map is good, gameplay could be better. 4/5. I like the use of hanging lamps.

Great WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter.   Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.
