cool map but your screenshot has snake things but in my version they are imps?

because the screenshot was taken with freedoom

in doom it will be imps

btw

the first secret is a joke secret (chip is labelled a1)

Brilliant idea for visual design. I've never seen a circuit board like that in a Doom map.

same here so I decided it was time to make it a reality.

I might make a much larger version at some point.

I also have a joke secret with the A1 chip, refers to the in the past not very secret Apple M1 chip and that they made A series chips for iPhones

Looks cool but just by looking the screen , it's definitely not vanilla but limit-removing.

the map format is dos doom 2, but you can always test it in dos doom

I admit I used GZDoom to test this map

EDIT

just tested in dos doom 2 and yes, it gets visual glitches and then runs out of visplanes?

but I guess limit removing dos ports should work just fine

This looks really cool! There was a deathmatch map made years back that also had the computer-chip level design.. the gameplay sucked for DM iirc, but it was still awesome, and it probably works a lot better against monsters!

Thanks :D

Oh I might have to try and find that one, would be interesting to try it.

I guess I should try to test it in one of the limit removing dos ports. Except for the high amount of 'visplanes', the map is 'vanilla'.

This is how it looks in chocolate-doom. It's "playable" as long as you're careful where you look to prevent the visplanes issue (As you can see, "no more visplanes")

Played it through LZDoom and it was rather good. I liked the overall view and the gameplay was rather good.

Played in Zandronum. Cool little map! Could see it working very well as part of a mapset or larger map.

The project it is made for is targeting crispy doom and I can confirm that it works perfectly in crispy doom because I tested it just now.

the imps are deliberatly trapped :)

but yes it seems two of the imps are immobolized

I have an idea of how a gzdoom version of this concept could take things one step further. I might explore that at some point
