This is the best wad of all time and you can't convince me otherwise.

It's hard, but still doable. And the gameplay is GREAT!

If you're looking for a challenge, I can't recommend it enough.

Very enjoyable on HMP, up to the part with the infinite chaingunners... That ruined it for me. 4/5

very tough maps with awesome highly non-linear design that carefully removes any safe spot you might try to exploit. wherever you go, there is something sniping or hunting you. tight on ammo and health, so your constant companion is the dread of unexpected death. i only disliked the immortal chaingunner snipers, i hated those even in plutonia. still easy 5* for challenge-seeking advanced players. -dew

UV is too stupidly hard, ok it gives to DooM God so whatever, but even HMP can kicked my ass off, but the worst one is those always-revived chaingunners, annoying as hell... rage quit by them at first try. But I still try to complete...and feel like "Is it really necessary?"... 3.5/5 -playerlin

I can handle most HR, HR2 and SOD maps on UV; can't get anywhere here. This is a clever, but brutally difficult map; save yourself some time and start out on HMP.

t/nc is right, this isn't difficult due to 200+ revenants. Rather, it's difficult due to a lack of ammo and health; the latter's OK with me, since it merely means you have to be better at evading monsters and their shots, but the former is a bit annoying at times. I play DOOM to kill monsters, not to have to worry about running out of stuff to kill them with. Still, very good level that should appeal to Plutonia fans. But since I'm not one, 3/5 from me. - ZZ

It took me a billion tries on UV but I finally just beat the first map. Im sure the second will be just as great. A 5 star piece.

Who in the world rate this 5 stars? These maps are bland and uninspired in design, and even worse, gameplay is all about revenant / chaingunner / archvile spam with almost non-existent ammo and health, "trial and error" style at it's worst. ... well, I do. 5 stars.

A new version that's a little lighter with things on HMP has been uploaded (so redownload recommended if you haven't already). Anyways a good wad!

Great WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter.   Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.
