About This File

This is my first released map. It's a random tech base level with medium length and difficulty. I took inspiration from Doom, Doom 2 and TNT Evilution maps. Since it's a vanilla map, you can play it as intended or with your favourite mod (e.g. Complex Doom, Brutal Doom, etc), but expect some balance issues if you play with a mod.

A great techbase-themed level with a cool E1-style design. It's fun to plow through the level despite using the weak monsters from Doom 2. Exploration is also rewarding, and barrels are always welcomed.

Gives off an E1 vibe despite of being a Doom 2 map. Fights consist of clusters of low-tier monsters (which makes them feel a bit off) and the only weapons provided are those that can be found in E1. A lot of wide, open areas, and also a not too complicated computer maze. Moderate length, fine visuals. This is a good level.

E1-style techbase level. Pros: varying layout, consistent architecture & texture use, use of barrels, about 20 minutes gameplay @ UV, looks like care has been put in this. Cons: awfully rectangular, ambiance is too unoriginal after 20 years of DooM1 remakes, nowadays dark areas + spectres = yawn, fights are too repetitive, sniper-based and way too easy - and after finding the berserk it's a complete POC. Overall: not bad at all, author shows promise, but playing it did not give any exciting moment.

Easy level with some nearly obvious secrets and an awful lot of ammunition (or maybe I just used the chainsaw and berserk more than intended) but very well designed and great fun.

A good level on it's own but for a first map I think it's great. Played through it twice and found things I didn't the first time. The author understands things such as multiple paths, the level opening up and different angles of monster attack. Main criticism would be the lighting could use more detail but overall I think it's a good level and I would play more maps by this author. - Cauldron.

A well-presented map with everywhere looking decent or better, no ugliness. Plenty of action to be had, took me 30 minutes to complete. For my taste, would like more sadistic monster traps, also I felt barrels were overused. Overall, good entertainment.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
