This? -
Yeah, lots of nice locks, folks. My hair has grown since my last post in here too, it's past my shoulders now. I'll have to remember to find/get a pic sometime before shaving it all off.

The DWIronman League dies to: Legacy of Heroes
Mithran Denizen replied to Alfonzo's topic in WAD Discussion
Wow, I really enjoyed this set of levels. It took me over five hours (argh!!), but I survived, playing keyboard only. I think I spent half that time or more just getting lost in maps 08-09. Overall, very enjoyable, with just enough devious moments to keep me paying attention. I took heed at the warnings about dying to the vortex on map05, so seeing that put me on edge. The pitch black cyberdemon ambush on map06 was what really solidified my jumpiness, though. After two levels in a row ending with evil traps like that, I was expecting something similar in every level thereafter, though nothing else quite as severe as the map06 ambush occured in any of the later levels, IMO. Great use of tension putting those traps in the middle of the episode, they kept me wary long past the actual threat itself. I had to deal with mad lag in glboom+ on most of map08, I guess my laptop's shitty gpu wasn't cut out for running through those huge open areas in the middle of the city. Lag aside (and getting lost aside ;P), I think that's my favorite map in the set. I almost gave up on trying to figure out how to get at that secret BFG until I remembered those blue keycard bars in the basement. To be honest, I think I lucked out quite a bit. I'm not the most careful player so there were plenty of close calls. I was particularly inattentive / an idiot on map05; I wasted the radsuit and almost blew it having to go back through the lava unprotected. I was also very fortunate at how the one cyberdemon and the mastermind just before the end of map08 decided to infight while i was so close to death. Anyway, great use of eternal resources, thanks gaspe for the great design and fun adventure! Now that I know what to do on the last two big maps, I'm eager to revisit this wad at some point in the future and try for a better time. demo: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m8giwie34k16zkr/ironman-mden-legher.zip?dl=1 -
Haha. I was 100% sure there aren't any moderators here either. Now I am not so sure.

To be pedantic, the computer map item is an exception to this, iirc, at least in single player. They count for item percentage, but if there are multiple than one placed in a map, you can't pick up more than one. As rare as it would be to have two or more computer maps in a level, it would prevent the player from getting 100% items.

I'm 100% sure there aren't any actual people here.

I have a pretty good collection of fabrics -- enough to rival some smaller fabric shops. It's mostly wool, silk, and linen, or blends thereof. Plus some exotic and whackier stuff too. I'm actually running out of room for it all, I seem to accumulate it much faster than I use it.

I'll only occasionally save if I need to step away from the game unexpectedly in the middle of a good run. Beyond that, what durian said applies. I appreciate both the gameplay and the level design more playing without saves. The same goes for keeping track of where I am in megawads, too. It's fresher to just warp to whatever level I had left off in.

When I'm playing keyboard only, and I decide to try to berserk punch everything, despite both my clumsy aim and better judgment. -
Ooo, I have been meaning to give Eureka another try, thanks for this!

Very sad, and I wish I had more to say. Malinku was great to chat with.

I don't remember which movie it was, but I had an old DVD that spoils the major plot twist by listing the chapter titles on the main page of the DVD menu.

And now the revenant is actually wearing shorts.
