Mortal Kombat Doom "as is"

It's Mortal Kombat Doom. This patch is old and obsolete. I haven't done any real work on it in almost two years (Today being 2/2/99). I didn't even bother to give Akuma some real walking or death frames or add more blood like I was going to. This patch just isn't worth finishing. I made the level back when I couldn't even align textures. Well give this patch a try if you want. I'll probably use the few good ideas for other patches.

5 relatively small and action-packed levels. This is my first release, so creative criticism please!
The plot: While being alone on Earth, you receive an emergency message from Mars. It seems like humanity is in a big trouble again. You take a look at the exact spot of the message from the big computer at your bedroom. Near the north pole of Mars! You grab your wool underwear and the .44 under your bed, and start inputting the coordinates into your Personal Teleporter.
Note: Near the north pole of Mars is very cold! That blue liquid isnt water, while all of it is frozen. Its freezing liquid nitrogen, so beware!
Note about the title: Its a finnish slangword for "hi". ;)

This wad is basically just a single room with a mountain in the middle. You're pretty vulnerable up there but that's where the firepower is to kill the snipers. The deathmatch start positions DON'T give equal advantage. Hey, lemme know.

This is a large map that replaces MAP01. An older level I decided to finish in a sort of slaughtermap style. This would have been MAP17 of Reverie originally, but I hadn't the inspiration to finish it at the time and decided to go with something of a smaller scale.

My last map was an entry to Metabolist's Wad-in-a-week contest -- it was called The Archvile's Revenge (for good reason). This one is the Cyberdemon's revenge. Most players will want to play Hurt Me Plenty(if anything)... UV is geared for the Cyber-freaks out there. My maps are ugly, so don't expect much. Created in about 4 hours... wound up playing it more than editing, I think.

you were the marine the baddest of the bad so the colonel call you to him office:
the colonel: very good marine, we have lots contact with are base in the planet awoeaw'awi, we believed that the demons have killed everyone on there, you must go there and kill them
you: ok, i kick their ass

you arrived at the base
you: its quiet, too quiet...
suddenly, the door lock behind you!
"oh no, that is bad" you proclaimed!
look like the only way out is through.......
BTW if you where stuck on this map i include demo to helped you

'Domestic' level of Doom situated in a real house with beds, cupboards, sofa and idromassage baths!
Is an attempt to use the powerful engine of Doom to feign an real architectonic ambient (in this case that's my house).
For a realistic exploration you should choose one of the two easiest levels (there aren't any monsters and all the keys are disponible). Then you choose the arm #1 (it's not polite to go in the house of the others with a gun aimed at the man's hight :)). In certain moments you'll be tele-trasported: it's a necessity becouse the real ambient has three flors and Doom don't allow this kind of things.
If you prefer to do this exploration more violent, just try it. All the other levels are perfectly playable.
I wait for your comments and suggestions.

By Zerofuchs · PostedGreat WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter. Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.
