About This File

A remote base in a rocky wilderness. The difficulty and general theme are meant to slot in somewhere maps 09-10 in the original Doom 2. This is my first attempt at designing a map, so brutally honest feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Quite well-made, could use some more texture variation and a bit more detailing. +1 star because it's a first map.

It's nice for a first map, but there are way to many STARTAN textures and a TON of unused space in some parts. I'm giving this a 3.

Nice work as for first map. But there error in it which may become critical. Linedef that should activate red key doom isn't tagged, so it will become impossible to complete in some ports (Chocolate doom for example).

Given some less blandness this could look like something that came out straight out of Doom 2 IWAD. It's not bad by any means, as the gameplay is just fine, if mostly easy. Layout is semi-open and allows non-linear exploration. The visuals lack, though. The map is full of STARTANs. Architecture could use some more detail and maybe somewhat tighter spaces to allow more challenging combat. Strong 3*.

      The only problem I had with this map was that the final battle was a little unfair but other than that it's pretty good   In fact, I would say that this is what I would expect from an official level of any other Boomer Shooter, especially if you add the Flashlight++, it adds a vibe of a current Boomer Shooter in mine level   I loved it

      The midtexture hidding mancubus was too much... This is already a frustrating monster to fight against to me, so this was a little bit too much and almost made me ragequit the map tbh. Lose a star because of that :/ Above that, not bad map !

      I understand that you did it in an hour but... was it necessary to put the enemies in the Spawn? From there on it improves a lot, especially the ending, it's good but the first impression is very bad.

      I honestly see a decline in this saga of WAD's, we start with 3 and end with 5 which is honestly a little more fun than 4 because I simply used the Flashlight mod since Light is usually a common problem in Doom maps for some reason   but if I hadn't had the flashlight this is definitely the worst in the series since it feels like they did it as soon as Doom 2 came out and they had never modded in their life except for this map   but still, funny Wolfenstein bad guys appear in this WAD so... 100/10 I need another one of these

      This was too easy to pass, the only time he died was where the bad Wolfensteins were  (I couldn't think in a funny nickname)   I honestly prefer 3 over 4 but hey, that's ok
