Brilliant wad, as the genius commenter below states. Giving anything other than 5 stars to this is an atrocity.

A level empty of any Things yet with serious build bugs. Stairs you cannot get up, a gap too narrow to pass, missing key, and no Exit! Riddled with structural bugs including a HOM, despite claim of "no bugs". The txt file has the author worrying about someone else taking "credit" if they copy and modify it. He shouldn't worry, they won't, and if they did they'd be taking the blame away.

Should really be deleted, because it isn't finished; there are no monsters or objects and as one of the other reviewers notes it's uncompletable. The second room has a hidden lift which can trap you. Even if it was finished it would be a terrible level.

Scott has managed to produce a fresh and innovative map by defying tradition. The blue door, which represents fulfillment in life, requires a blue key - a goal, if you will - one which we must create ourselves, rather than have it lie around waiting for us. And the stair - the room above represents a desire, one which we cannot access. This teaches us how to cope with failure. Overall, this wad is brilliant and teaches us how to view Doom - indeed, life - in a whole new perspective.

Bugs: NONE ^ REALLY? I can't even exit the fucking level. I can't even go up the steps because of the ceiling. I have to cheat to go through the blue door and the only innovative thing was the two lamps at the beginning, after that the WAD was shit. Why do people even bother making these useless maps? They waste TWO WHOLE HOURS just to piss people off. PLEASE AVOID THIS... EVEN IF YOUR CURIOUS [which I was as too how bad it really is] just forget it...

I enjoyed exploring these empty rooms and thought it was funny how there was no blue key.

Great WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter.   Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.
