Yep Corruption is done, this project is a shorter "DLC" for it taking place after, and setting up the events for the full megawad sequel that started development earlier last year :)

I've been learning hub levels today. I'm going to be making a hub map for my 182 (soon, maybe 214) deathmatch duel / FFA compilation.

 

Areas will be divided into themes - fire, ice, nukage/waste facilities, heckbases, techbases, castles, caverns, etc.

 

Here's 1 of 17 of the entrances to my 'forge / furnace' styled levels. Obviously this will take a very long time - thankfully all the mapping for the individual maps is already done.

Texturing is all in super early stages still. Lots of little UDMF things, and MAPINFO things I want to learn to make things look better, too.

I just started map24 with a set of new rusted textures I made with Nightcafe. It's like melting imps in hot cocoa...

I really hope it wouldn't be as huge map as it may be in perspective, considering that I always forget that Doom = gameplay, not only visuals.

Today I made a 'secret map' for my megawad. It's called 'Loveletter To The Casalis'. Why you might ask? Well, it has the exact number of Chaingunners, Revenants, Archviles and Cyberdemons that appear in Plutonia all in one map. Yes it is fr*ggin' bonkers [had to save scum, but it is doable]. It's likely the last map I'll make and publish for Doom so I wanted to go out on a high:D

* Sequel to Durango Hispan Deathmatch Megawad (DuranDos) in Boom format
* "Fan" sequel to a wad out there called "Anathema" in Boom Format and best
* Jokewad with inside jokes based on previously "Durango" and shit
* HellDoor, my first wad and future megawad main project, although I want to make changes to it such as changing the format or remapping some levels

Decided a wad isn't 'done' until it has 32 maps, so I've decided to do the 2nd secret level.
