Wow! I love simple WADs exhibiting special techniques. I know how it's done, using the 4 frames animation textures with transparent bitmaps and only one of the four showing gfx at all. I have seen a similar technique for creating a flag or animated acid flow in mcfearsm.zip but never had the idea to use this could be used for doing a fan! More tricks can be achieved with some imagination..

After your recent escape, you returned to Earth and told the president about the Alien World and their plans to invade Earth. He just laughed at you. Realizing that he's one of them, you grabbed your gun and tried to shoot him. You were stopped by his body guards before you could fire, and were thrown in a prison on Maximus 5.... -

The fifth of the PACKER Deathmatch series for DOOM ][. The first to cater to the new style fragging.... Smallish and tight to limit hiding places, but big enough to keep an element of skill in play. I hate the "shoot into a crowd" scenario. Also contains over 20 frames of original animation... --==================================-- This level has no plot, as I find them a waste of time... It has the same basic run and shoot style as the rest of the PACKER series, but is smaller and is a bit more technical. I employed a few new techniques in designing the graphics. I know you aren't supposed to use "striped" graphics but they fit the mood, and I LIKE THEM! With no exceptions- all of the graphics are homemade BY ME, or modified DooM originals... Lazarus keeps telling me that I don't have to make ALL new graphics, but I LIKE TO BE DIFFERENT. -

This is the second of a series of texture-only wad libraries for use by wad developers. New in this release: TXRIN.WAD - the textures of the fabulous TRINITY WAD. Many realistic textures digitized from photos. Includes the amazing TRINITY movie. TXANIM.WAD - animation giving the impression of a raging demagogue on TV. From the first release: TXBARNEY.WAD - shock and frighten those who play your WADs with hideous images of the Purple Satan and his cohorts. Similar to what appears in my first WAD AMBIENT. TXDISGRU.WAD - textures I created for DISGRUN, mostly featuring Slick, Hillary, Algore, Sarah Brady, and (shudder) Socks. TXALIENS.WAD - textures of ALIENS DOOM (with permission of Marc Gordon). TXBIG.WAD - all of the above in one great hulking texture WAD. -

It looks good, but I think I would like a more animated vehicle (audio, animation, bloodtypes, interaction and so on). I suspect that these voxels are actors, but why are they on their own floor section? That gives me the impression that these actors are actually map sections. Anyways, it's a good contribution to the archives ~4/5.

The lack of widescreen support is unfortunate. Inconsistent quality -- some reloads have a smooth transition but others don’t; some animations have white outlines appearing. I'm disappointed that you left some issues which could’ve easily been fixed with some more time and effort because I think the sprites look good. Including a semiautomatic or bolt-action rifle would’ve been nice because the weapons feel samey. Including grenades and ironsights too. It's a shame to put good sprite rips to waste.

This is lacking in overall originality because of the massive amount of machine guns and "smooth animation" that looks like the player has down's syndrome. I guess that's what happens when Xaser and Zero Prophet fuck each other's dicks and cum blood that turns into some retarded love child of their signature wads.

Well, my efforts have paid off... DOOMMORF.FLI looks *nice*. This .FLI file is a ~160 frame animation of your favorite monsters melting into each other using morphing technology a la "Terminator 2". Ok, so I'm not Industrial Light and Magic Inc., but I think that the effect is very good considering all the 'tween images were rendered on a 486dx-50 using DMORF 1.1.2; the BEST shareware morphing program available for the PC. I used WT100 to get the images from the .WAD file onto the screen. I used VGACAP81 to capture them from the screen, and VGAFIL.EXE to convert them from .RAWs and .PLTs to .GIFs. After morphing, I used Alchemy to convert the images from .TGAs back to .GIFs, and Autodesk Animator to thread the images into a single .FLI, and optimize the colors such that the morph should be fairly smooth, even on '286 computers. Of course, if you use a '286, you probably won't recognize the characters. :)
