Memfis Posted August 28, 2012 Column 3 shows full size, column 4 shows how much space is free. "ГБ"=gigabyte, "МБ"=megabyte 0 Share this post Link to post

Steeveeo Posted August 28, 2012 689 / 1527GB Across three logical disks (two physical). And that's after moving 650GB of different shows onto my media server. Stats of that (without looking directly at it): Approx. 1500 / 4096GB Across two physical disks. Minecraft servers get rather sizable when you have the thing back itself up every 30 minutes. 0 Share this post Link to post

printz Posted August 28, 2012 Why does Windows still show the capacity in GiB (2^30) and not in GB (10^9) like OS X does? They're nearly always marketed in GB. 0 Share this post Link to post

Sporku Posted August 28, 2012 In retrospect... having an almost full 2TB hard drive might be a bad sign. 0 Share this post Link to post

Dragonsbrethren Posted August 28, 2012 18 gigs on a 150 GB drive. My 250 data drive went and died on me, and I've just been too cheap to buy a new one. 0 Share this post Link to post
Remilia Scarlet Posted August 28, 2012 Laptop: 100G used out of 177G total (I have some movies/anime temporarily stored on here while I house sit this week, otherwise this would be closer to 70G) Server: 8.7G out of 60G on main drive, 697G out of 1TB on storage drive Not sure about my desktops since they're currently powered off. 0 Share this post Link to post
Xane_MM Posted August 28, 2012 I have 514GB of 169GB (514GB remaining) used. I think FRAPS is to blame for those huge videos it makes. Usually erasing it will give me back a lot more gigabytes! 0 Share this post Link to post
Malinku Posted August 28, 2012 Most of the space is taken up by music and pictures 0 Share this post Link to post

GreyGhost Posted August 29, 2012 219GB spread across three partitions on my desktop, shunted a lot of stuff onto an external drive recently to clear some space. Technician said:180.6MB used. Amiga owner or DOS diehard? 0 Share this post Link to post

GreyGhost Posted August 29, 2012 hellothere231 said:but how do you go on the internet on an amiga or a DOS machine? For the Amiga there's IBrowse and Voyager, for DOS there's Arachne and Lynx. You'll also need a TCP/IP stack but there's no shortage to choose from. 0 Share this post Link to post

hex11 Posted August 29, 2012 Amiga can use internal/external serial modems and ethernet cards (even PCMCIA stuff). Of course the internal cards have to be Zorro II or III bus, not ISA or PCI... For DOS, you're covered hardware-wise if you can find a packet driver for your ethernet card (piece of cake with NE2000-compatible stuff). And there's a whole suite of DOS networking programs like ping, nslookup, telnet, ftp, lynx, etc. I can't remember where I found them (maybe SimtelNet mirror on ftp.cdrom.com) but that's what I used in 1995 before downloading Slackware. Or you can just keep it simple and go the terminal emulator route (Telix, QModem, etc.) but then you're limited to textmode only (well ANSI graphics anyway, which I actually prefer to the graphic overdose ad-laden web). 0 Share this post Link to post
