      First, Two things:

1.) You don't link a bunch of slanderous bullshit on someone's public profile!   If you're really curious you private message about something like that.

2.) Though you've now clarified you didn't mean it that way, the saying, "What do you have to say about this?" followed by such bullshit tends to imply guilt.   A better choice of words is, "What do you think of this?"

      Now regarding this ridiculous mess:

I was totally unaware any of this was going on until someone private messaged me on here Thursday night, June 18th.   At first I thought someone impersonating me was cyberstalking someone.   I'm not even sure if that's happening, though I haven't ruled out the possibility.   From what I've seen, this nutbag thinks some copycat twitter account that posts and shares random stuff from the Doom community is me because they copied and pasted the title of one of my topics here.   Then he interprets some other post there as them somehow identifying as a character from the new Dooms that he wrote some spastic story about and thinks the post is directed at him.   It's like some whackjob watching TV and thinking a celebrity is talking personally to him.    Then he thinks I changed my name to my forum title/"rank" which I got sometime in the early 2000's, and thinks that's directed at him.    Has he posted any details of any real stalking or just these insane paranoid delusions?   I'm not sure how I even enter into it besides what I just said.

Meanwhile this malfunctioning simpleton is actually stalking and doxing a well known renowned mapper who tried to reason with him, calling his work and trying to get him fired.

He also thinks that mapper and I are staff members here when we're just regular members.   Apparently he's accusing the whole staff of stalking him.

The weirdest thing is I don't remember ever having any interaction with this dysfunctional mungbat whatsoever.   I might vaguely recall seeing a username of his on a topic here and might have possibly posted on a topic, but I doubt he posted anything intelligent or interesting for me to comment about.

So I'm going to take a page out of the book of famous people and try my best to ignore him and not engage him in any way, but keep this stuff as evidence against him if necessary and keep an eye out.   I thought of jumping in somewhere and telling him off (before he was banned) but that would probably only feed his delusions.   I'm also keeping in mind that there may be another crazy person impersonating me and messing with him, but I haven't seen any evidence of that yet.   This is like some Shutter Island stuff.  At least I hope it doesn't get that extreme.   Who knows if he's even really married as he claims and not separated or something?  Crazies do tend to flock together though, especially if they've been institutionalized together.    Any sane woman would get far away from someone like this.   He's probably supported by a parent or two.

I hoping for the problem to solve itself as this lunatic doesn't seem capable of sustaining himself and he keeps getting banned everywhere.

I will eventually delete this load of shit from my profile.   But I'll leave it up for a while to set the record straight.   I have purposely not mentioned any specific names in this post to avoid perpetuating others being continuously dragged into this.

I've been recently informed of this delusional idiocy by someone who banned him from somewhere else.   And apparently he was banned from Doomer boards and here.

      Is that an accusation, DemonExterminator?

And WHY are you posting this garbage on my profile?

Thanks, it was originally another Strife level I started working on.   The version picture is converted and combined with a Doom map I started and intended for a regular deathmatch map in a Doom Team Fortress-like CTF mod called Ground Zero I tried to keep going after the team lead disappeared in the early 2000's.   So unfortunately it's not released but I gotta do something with it eventually and not let it go to waste.

That Doom version is a true 3D boat you can go over and under.   The way I combined 209-transfer heights and 3D sector transfers it's only compatible with Zandronum hardware mode and not GZDoom.   Also the underwater colored lighting is inconsistent and the water isn't swimmable underneath the boat.   Now I know how to do that stuff correctly and have it software mode compatible and GZDoom compatible by replacing transfer heights with entirely 3D sector transfers.

If you want to check it out I can upload and pm you a link.   The original Strife map is probably over 15 years old and the Doom version was last worked on 2012 (when I tried resurrecting Ground Zero on my mine own)  with some parts possibly predating the Strife map but I got frustrated with earlier Zandronum versions crashing on me, though I see my decorate patch isn't so clean now with a bunch of startup warnings.   Now since I've come back here, Zandronum 3.0 seems solid as a rock.   Ground Zero isn't a priority but I don't want everything to sit unfinished and unreleased forever.

You're welcome.  Yeah, this renaissance of late is pretty awesome.   Some of the older guys may get frustrated with the amount of new people, especially the obviously immature ones, but it's actually a lot like the early days except much higher quality overall.   Someone makes a post "This is my first (or second) map" and half the time it looks amazing these days.   It's a good time to be into Doom.

In an earlier fight that ended in a draw he gave me a rougher time, but this was my easiest fight since he was afraid of my knees and just wanted to stall not knowing Muay Thai technique. I just let him tire himself out and purposely dropped my weight while he was holding on and you can see how exhausted he is when he lets go. The previous fight he had an advantage in boxing, especially since my Wing Chun doesn't work with big ass boxing gloves. But after three months I had improved my boxing to have the advantage there. He kept me from really kneeing the hell out of him this time around though. The guy's apparently a really good MMA fighter but this was stand up Muay Thai.

Not a tournament, just an event of anywhere from 9 to 15 full contact amateur matches of various types of kickboxing (high leg, low leg, Int'l style) and some Muay Thai (though no elbows allowed and no knees to the head). PA no longer allows boxing and kickboxing at the same event. Now DE is the same way though this is in PA. Corrupt state boxing commissions try to squash everything that isn't regular boxing.

  5. I've tried to play Hexen a million times but could never get past Seven Portals before getting stuck and losing interest. But last week I was having problems playing 3d games and loaded up Hexen just to see if it worked. For some reason I could not pull myself away from the game for 3 hours, and a few days later I finished it. Other games I've bought in the past few years usually can barely keep my interest for one hour, and I almost never finish them.

Anyway I'm really excited because today I remembered that it has an expansion pack, so I'm starting that right now. I also downloaded Hexen 2, Hexen 2's mission pack, and Heretic 2, so I can't wait to start those as soon as possible as well.

I know that some music sounds better an my SB AWE32 than on my SB Live Platinum's general midi. On the Live instruments cut off abruptly in e2m8. The music blows in windows ports and on a laptop in comparison.

It would probably be good for most people to start on the second hub of Hexen. Seven Portals is just a few too many.

Tried Korax Heritage? Deepens Hexen even more, but enemies take much longer to kill. You want to start from the beginning in this so you're higher in level later in the game. And it's compatible with Death Kings of the Dark Citadel.

  8. I've had varying headache for about 3 weeks now, along with problems with vision.

Had my head scanned finally today, they found something that does not belong at the back of my head.

Can't say what it is exactly yet from the pictures, but it's most likely metastasis of the sarcoma that ran off with my arm last year. Bugger doesn't want to give up that easily it seems, and is back with a vengeance.

Going to Helsinki sometime next week, and they're probably going to operate on it right away. At least I hope so.

That's just the oncologist's opinion. The fact you've gotten a good bit better and chemo didn't do you in shows your strength. Don't give up and think of trying some alterative stuff along side conventional treatment and diet is very important. Stay away from even partially hydrogenated stuff. Sorry, I don't mean to make it sound that simple, but every little bit or adjustment may help. Don't give up.

  15. I'm exhausted... Woke up this morning and noticed that my eye fucking hurt. I get up, look in the mirror, and see I have a fat pink eye infection. It was all oozy and was very painful. I was pretty pissed off that I got it so I ate some magic mushrooms. Then, 30 minutes later, I popped a pill. Then I left to go do something, then here I am right here 5 - 6 hours later trying to figure out what just happened today, and why my eye looks so much worse. I tripped balls on so many different levels, and had some incredible epiphanies. One was the fact that I had two arms and legs and that I could control them.

Random blog, I know. I just feel like typing stuff because I can and I have nothing else to do. I walked through like 20 different portals at once. My eye still hurts.

  17. I've been using those for the last 10 years, and rarely bought any alcalines or, God forbid, Zinc Carbon ones.

Essentially, since I started regularly using my walkman for listening to music on the move, I soon realized that it gulped batteries down pretty quickly (I always bought noname walkmans that sounded good, but consumed 2x-3x as much as a brand one).

That's when I switched to rechargeables, in the end of 2000. At first I had to make do with some low-capacity Nicads (600-650 mAh) but even those performed much smoother than alkalines: instead of working OK for 4-5 hours and then gradually slowing down and losing power, they worked for 6 hours straight with constant power until they were completely drained.

With NiMHs, capacity improved dramatically while still mantaining that constant current performance, going well over 10 hours with 1500 mAh cells (back then), and simplifying charging (didn't have to wait until cells were depleted to recharge them).

In any case, since then I've exclusively used rechargeables in CD players, RC vehicles, tools, flashlight, MP3 players, and even digital cameras.

For high-power and IT devices, they are pretty much a must: alkaline and zinc carbon batteries lose current delivery capacity pretty quickly due to their internal resistance, even if they can work for years in low power setting like, say, clocks, film cameras or remote controls. On the other hand, rechargeables perform constantly (and with way higher current output) throughout their discharge.

The only devices that I've found to work unsatisfactorily with rechargeables, are those that lack voltage regulation and thus depend too much on some voltage threshold being exceeded by the batteries, without requiring high current. These include LED flashlights and some types of battery-to-battery chargers, like those found on some RC toys.

(White) LED flashlights, despite being more efficient, need 3.6 Volts just to "break" the semiconductor and start working. Normal 1.5 V cells can handle that, and have some spare voltage to force enough current through them too. Rechargeables however are 1.2 V, and thus barely manage to break the LEDs forward voltage.

Similarly, poorly designed transmitters-chargers that tap directly from the batteries without regulation may not work well or at all with rechargeables.

Also, uses such as clocks or remote controls are not ideal, because they drain so little energy that the batteries will likely self-discharge faster than what will actually be used.

  20. Yeah, this is what usually keeps me up lately. When I should be drifting off into a peaceful sleep, I'm instead obsessing over the end. It could be some cataclysmic event, like a country-sized meteor that could turn this planet into a toxic wasteland. It could be painful-- I could be burned, skinned, broken, smashed or picked apart, lying on conrete in pieces flailing in pain, begging for any kind of release, until finally it comes in the form of chemicals flooding my brain as I float off into oblivion. I could be an old man, reflecting on my life and more accepting of what will happen, my own fate in my hands as I decide it's time to go.

I keep telling myself that this is just some misplaced frustration toward the lack of control I have over my life or a nameless, possibly imaginary threat to my livelihood. But we all know the effectiveness of things we "keep telling ourselves". It doesn't seem to keep me from thrashing around in bed for hours, working up a cold sweat. It certainly doesn't make a good enough excuse to stop contemplating inevitability. I'm not young any more, but do I really have to? I think it's too early to go through this crap.

Sometimes it's not the end itself that bothers me so much as the significance of experiencing death. I don't want the thread to turn into one of those discussions, since I've already resigned myself to the fact that I'll never know and any positive answer I can come up with is probably wishful thinking out of fear.

That's not to say this hasn't happened before; I seem to remember me going through this crap about ten years ago. I can draw certain parallels to my life between then and now, which I suppose would be a nice exercise in self-awareness, but I think the real lesson to learn here is that I REALLY NEED TO GET SOME PROBLEMS THAT ARE MORE MUNDANE. Like being late on the mortgage or something. Jesus.

P.S. No, drugs won't help. They only magnify the problem.

  21. I'm having an issue <_<
I kinda decided I'd use myspace to hook up (I'm young by the way, 15. I think I registered on Doomworld as about 30 but I'm not sure <_<), and added quite a few different chicks at once because one at a time would be too slow (they'd all say not interested or something)...
Now I have 3 (possibly 4) girls who wanna date me. I'm having a hard time choosing between them. Heres my options.
    1. One is a standard rocker girl. Cute. The only one that directly said she wanted to hang out this weekend.
    2. One is 18. (18 year old chicks seem less picky about guys. I've had another say she'd date me if she wasn't in a relationship in the past).
    3. The other is an emo chick and she's cute.

Also, if the emo chick's friend adds me saying she has the exact same personality as the emo chick, and to add her does that mean she probably wants a three person relationship?

    SO confused!
