Lots of monsters, a fair number of puzzles. Highly non-linear - there are multiple solutions to nearly all the puzzles. You may need a 486/66 or better for this one (or low detail, or reduced screen size...).

  10. Waste Processing (updated)

A sort of E1-styled map. This was made for a number of things, but never got released, so I'm releasing it as a single map. It's not very new, and I had to tweak it a bit (it was way too hard), but I'm pretty happy with it. It's the first map in years I've fully completed. I've updated it by making it a bit harder. I added more enemies and two Barons of Hell at the end.

  11. Waste Treatment Center #911

A weird lil map that looks too bright on GL source ports, and too dark on software mode. Somewhat Knee-Deepish, pretty linear but I put a lot of work into it, so hopefully it should be pretty enjoyable. May eventually become part of a set.

  17. Voidship v1.4

In the ruins of Deimos base, the mop-up crew found plans for a ship that will cross the void between the galaxies. This ship will enable the Hell-Spawn to spread their evil across the entire universe! The engineers at UAC have been able to beef up a teleporter enough to send ONE marine into the ship, which is currently cruising the local galactic cluster. They can't bring him back, but it is believed there is an exit teleporter on the ship. Your mission is to neutralize (with extreme prejudice) the crew and get out alive!

  18. LAST HOPE of the UAC

Many years have passed since the first bloody encounters with the enemy, and so, the war against the demon invaders continues, unabated, despite the heroic efforts of the UAC. Time has taken it's toll as well. The resources of the once mighty UAC are nearly exhausted, while the enemy seems to grow stronger and bolder all the time... You (and possibly, your squadmate) are the last hope of the UAC. You have been chosen, from among the last remaining space marines, to penetrate the Caves of Steel, formerly a UAC moonbase, and somehow gain knowledge of (or access to) the legendary "ShadowGate", by which the enemy transports most of its troops and supplies. This gate cannot be destroyed, but it may be able to be used to penetrate the supernatural defenses of the enemy, somehow. You will be inserted directly into the base via confiscated enemy slipgate technology and from that point on, you'll be on your own.

  19. Village of the Damned

    :-
    Okay, hows this:

It has been noted that some areas of America are more prone to UFO sightings/crashes than anywhere else in the world. However, it is not usual for there to be a confirmed sighting every day in a small village with a population of only a hundred or so.

Couple this with the fact that contact with the town has been lost since the local authorities announced that they had captured a handful of extra-terrestrials.

It is not known exactly what has happened, the most likely explanations are that either the population of the village has been infected with a fatal disease and are all dead, or that they are under alien control.

It has been theorised that in the case of alien control, there must be some form of central command post, which must be infiltrated, investigated, and destroyed as quickly as possible.

Due to the nature of this infiltration operation, you will enter the village alone, and with minimal weaponry. You are, however, authorised to use lethal force against any beings of unknown origin, or anyone who attempts to compromise your mission.

  23. TOWER OF DEATH v1.2

This level(WSTOWER.WAD) was very well designed, but had an outstanding number of problems. To start with, texture alignment was a major problem. I didn't see one aligned texture. I have aligned most of them. Also, there were many unnecessary sectors, which made the file very large(500K) and slow. I have deleted all such sectors, and, in the process, reduced the file size to 416K. A total of more then 100 sectors were deleted. Speed has also been increased, because of fewer sectors, fewer nodes, and a better reject map. I have made the level much more difficult. There are now a total of 806 monsters, so if you try to save, it will crash. On UV, if you kill all monsters, it takes about 50 minutes.

This level is not a sequel to WSTOWER.WAD. It is a revision. VERSION 1.2

  24. WANT.WAD

This is the first wad I created, but hang on, it's taken over 3 years so I'm hardly a beginner by now !

It's basically a single player wad but it has the entrances for multi and deathmatch, I just havn't tried it for that.

It's a largish wad. It has all the weapons and all the monster and not just thrown together.

There's a trick to doing the first-part the easy way ! You need to find a secret ...

Some people find it important to do it in the right order. They tend to run out of ammo otherwise.

I think should write something here, since some of the sounds are used in my recent wad.   Although, everything relevant has been said already. Here's "golden star" for proving, that even dubious mods have something intresting.

One of the more underrated doom mods out there. The levels have a lot of detail and great use of 3D sectors, used for railings and other things. Not a lot of mods that I know of has these attentions to detail back then other than KDiZD. I like how the first gun, not weapon, first gun in the mod is a quad barreled shotgun. This might be bias but I don't see any other mods or games give the player a quad barreled shotgun as a starter weapon.

The cutscenes and artwork used for them are REALLY well made. I like its story and the protagonist John Logan. His design looks like a cross between Daniel Garners from Painkiller and the Doom Marine from well, Doom 3.

Speaking of Painkiller, the mod uses tracks from Painkiller, which is a nice touch. Admittedly, there are things in Legacy of Suffering that I don't like, such as the Painkiller/Serious Sam arena wave sections. Not all of them are bad, but the later levels that uses them are the worst offenders. Often spawning mancubi, pain elementals, and revenants that just makes the fights more tedious.
      DISCLAIMER: SPOILERS AHEAD
      END OF SPOILERS:
In conclusion, Legacy of Suffering is a really well made mod and I really want other people to try it out. I would suggest to start on the easiest difficulty, do NOT get fooled by the normal difficulty Ultra Violence, it will kick your ass, and anything higher will probably break your soul. Other than that, I would highly recommend you to play this mod. It can be played on GZDoom, Zandronum, and Skulltag. That is the end of the review, have a nice day :)

Enigma is not exactly my cup of tea; the mandatory secrets are a bit annoying and the confusing layout of the maps doesn't help much. Still, the maps are fun to navigate and they feature some great architecture that lead to unique gameplay encounters. Overall, it's decently fun.

Nothing better than baiting the Bazooka Man into blowing himself up! Obituary doesn't pull any punches; you'll be facing tons of hitscanners and plenty of nasty traps, but you'll get to appreciate the fine work the Möller brothers did with this WAD. The maps are intricately designed with a judicious use of textures, some of them custom-made. The new array of weapons is great, especially the flamethrower, which can shred down a cyberdemon in seconds! The low point might be the plain secret map and icon of sin fight, but overall, Obituary strikes home more often than not.

In recent years, general opinon of MM seemed to move towars negative, moreso than any other classic 90's megawad. It's nice to see it recieve some positive attention and even though I'm not exactly a reviewer, I figured I'd join in. Aside from couple rough maps, it remains a great experience today. Generally good and varied vanilla visuals with beautiful highlights like Maps 05, 13, 14 and 21, certainly helped by some great, really cool custom textures, which fit in with the classic ones incredibly well, much better than any other 90's custom stuff (aside from Eternal Doom, but that's a completely different aesthetic). The maps are quite varied without the whole thing becoming incosistent/all over the place and the variety really helps blaze through the whole thing. In comparison, while I prefer MM2 in terms of individual levels, it has a ton of long or similar maps back to back, which can get tiring and take much longer to geth through. Another aspect of MM I really like is some really, unique and fun design choices, or even whole map designs that you don't see much these days for some reason. The Innocent Crew's maps especially are very creative in fun and refreshing ways. Incredibly underrated mappers. Literally everyone knows this already, but Mark Klem's music is amazing.
