I think there's actually 63 vertices in the map cause it goes from 0-62 - this limitation kicked my ass so there's not much here to chew on but hopefully fun

I'm guessing this wall is supposed to be a blue door (since the other side is marked as a blue door) but this side isn't marked so you can't open the door and you're stuck. Looks like a cool map so far tho!

 

EDIT: After checking in Doom Builder, it looks like your door doesn't have a tag so the "switch" can't open the door. Hope this helped :)

They can be added just like normal player starts. Thing number 11. You need at least 4 deathmatch starts.

So I don't know anything about Doom deathmatch. Do I need to do anything in particular other than adding the deathmatch starts? I also placed shotguns in front of each of them with [multiplayer] flag

Just shotguns would be a bit boring. Are there any other weapons around your map? (BFG9000, Plasma Rifle, Rocket Launcher, etc.) If not, I suggest adding them, tagged as multiplayer too.

Do stuff not tagged as 'multiplayer only' not spawn in coop and deathmatch?

Stuff not tagged as multiplayer-only also spawn in co-op. Monsters don't spawn in Deathmatch though.

Okay, this was great fun!! May my map, MAP19 be called "Branding Iron". All skills, co-op and deathmatch.

This is my first time implementing deathmatch startups and BFG, and using abstract hellscape design.

Ok, but I'm testing with the -deathmatch parameter and the 'multiplayer only' monsters I added for coop are spawning, and the single-player weapons are spawning as well

Forgot to specify that the single-player weapons also spawn in deathmatch, so try moving them apart so that a player wouldn't get an arsenal in seconds.

As for the multiplayer-only monsters, use -nomonsters.
